Blockchain-focused investor Mirana.xyz invests in blockchain and AI infrastructure projects. Early-stage venture firm GenVentures.xyz backs machine economy projects across AI, DePIN, and blockchain. Crypto investment firm Nascent.xyz aims to support transformative crypto projects. In this week’s #BlockchainThursday, we’ll introduce you to a crypto venture firm focused on supporting founders across Eastern and Western markets: MF.xyz.

An operator-led approach to building and funding crypto companies

MF.xyz is the online home of Maximum Frequency Ventures (MFV), a crypto-focused venture firm and incubator. According to its About page, MFV is “an operator-led engine for building and funding crypto companies.” The firm states that it brings together “the hands-on creation of a studio, the rigor of a venture fund, and the speed of an accelerator.” MFV describes its working model as centered around focused execution. It runs what it calls “MFV sprints,” which are one- to two-day working sessions with founders covering product development, token design, go-to-market planning, market structure, and regulatory considerations. After investing, the firm states that it stays involved in areas that are difficult to outsource, including token structuring, capital markets strategy, regulatory navigation, and cross-border positioning between Eastern and Western markets.

Deploying capital across crypto-native teams such as TheMoonshot.xyz

Since inception, MFV reports that it has deployed $7.6M across eight companies globally. In its 2025 Partner Letter, the firm highlights mobile gaming platform TheMoonshot.xyz as one example of its portfolio. According to TheMoonshot.xyz, the company is building a mobile gaming ecosystem that combines hardware, social infrastructure, and digital ownership. The company’s hardware is described as compact and portable, with ergonomic controls and Bluetooth pairing designed for immediate gameplay. Its website lists compatibility with titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Genshin Impact, Minecraft, Rocket League Sideswipe, and Resident Evil Village.

Leadership with cross-border operating experience

MFV is founded by Mo Shaikh, Neil Harounian, Jerome Ong, and Alexandre Tang. As shared on their LinkedIn profiles, the team’s backgrounds span crypto networks, venture capital, institutional finance, and cross-border markets. Mo Shaikh previously co-founded and serves as CEO of Aptos, a Layer 1 blockchain network. Neil Harounian previously served as Head of Ecosystem at Aptos and held venture roles at White Star Capital and Exponential Ventures, as well as investment banking experience at RBC Capital Markets, a global investment bank. Jerome Ong previously led ecosystem efforts across APAC at Aptos Foundation and held strategy and investment roles in Singapore and Hong Kong, including experience at GIC, a Singapore sovereign wealth fund. Alexandre Tang previously held roles at Aptos Labs and Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm, where his work included crypto, financial institutions, and digital economy initiatives across APAC and the Middle East.
