Great founders often share the ability to look at an industry, see a need for change, and create a product or service that addresses that need. To reach the right audience and scale their solution in the market, founders need a memorable brand and the ability to broadcast their message globally. In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll speak with a co-founder who saw a need for simplification in the property investment industry. He invented a platform that he envisions will become the future of property buying, and launched it using the perfect branded domain name: Property.xyz.

Property.xyz

Property.xyz is a free-to-use property listing platform designed by property investors, for property investors. Property.xyz co-founder Robert Jones says his team’s vision is “to build the world’s most intelligent property platform.” He and his co-founder came up with the idea for the platform when they recognized the fragmentation in the UK property market. “There are hundreds of different websites to go to for each part of the process from search, to research, to arranging viewings,” says Robert. With Property.xyz, the co-founders created a software that aims to replace this fractured model with “a frictionless process for estate agents, auctions and new build developers to upload their properties for free and easily via their existing CRM.” To ensure they had the technical infrastructure to take Property.xyz to market, Robert and his team worked with a range of tech architects, as well as cloud and software engineers.

When creating Property.xyz, Robert and the team focused on building a true full-service solution that could revolutionize the property industry by covering everything from A to XYZ. “(We asked) what does the future of property buying look like? Not just in the UK but around the world. Not just residential property, but commercial, land, renting, homeowners. What does the process look like when you have the latest technology and no friction? So we imagined Property.xyz.”

To promote this new platform, Robert and his team also knew they wanted a domain name that was bold, forward-thinking, and fit with their long term vision. “We’re creating a property platform that works for everyone,” he says. “All buyers. All sellers. All agents and suppliers. Covers all geographic areas. All property types. All property categories from residential to commercial. All steps of the property process. All available data in one place. A centralised platform. ‘Building the world’s most intelligent property platform.’ We felt (the name) Property.xyz achieves this perfectly.” The Property.xyz domain fits their mission and model perfectly, as it is a generic and brandable name. .XYZ is also a global domain name with universal reach, as x, y, and z are recognized worldwide as the ending of the alphabet. This allows Property.xyz to attract users from any country, helps their platform stand out without limiting it to any one market or region, and gives them a domain name that will scale alongside their global efforts.

The .xyz community is known as a home to many innovative startups looking to revolutionize their industry. Starship.xyz, an autonomous delivery robot startup from Skype’s co-founders, Engine.xyz, a $175 million “tough tech” incubator from MIT, and driver-friendly rideshare app Be.xyz are just a few of the many examples. Their mission to create a global solution that simplifies property buying and selling shows they share the same spirit of innovation that the .xyz community is renowned for.

Choosing a strong, memorable name is critical for any global brand. The best brands use their website URL as an opportunity to make a lasting impression on potential users and set themselves apart from others in the industry. With Property.xyz, Robert and his team have a brand name that makes a statement, shows their innovative nature, and sticks in potential users’ minds.

Property.xyz and its creators show that innovation comes from recognizing a need for change and coming up with a solution that is capable of bringing it. Armed with their memorable, expertly branded, globally reaching .xyz domain, Property.xyz is ready to take their services to the world and revolutionize the property investment industry.

denidesign.xyz homepage

DeniDesign.xyz is the website of Sydney-based graphic designer Denise Ng. Originally from Hong Kong, Denise studied Multimedia Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University before moving to Australia to pursue her degree in Digital Media Design from the College of Fine Arts. She specializes in brand identity, which includes everything from website interface design, to shopfront and signage, to advertising materials.

Denise has created a standout website to display the many design projects she’s worked on. We’ve broken down how the following four characteristics help her online portfolio represent her skills and abilities in the best possible way. You can apply these key features when building your own compelling design portfolio.

1. Use a custom domain name

Having a personalized domain name is a key part of creating a portfolio website. It lends a sense of credibility and experience to your work and business. You can also use your domain as a memorable and personalized email address. This will make your communication with potential clients and employers that much more professional and polished.

For a personal website, include your name or nickname in the domain you choose, as Denise did with DeniDesign.xyz. She smartly kept her domain short, making it easy to spell and remember for her potential website visitors. As .xyz is a popular domain among designers and creatives, we can see why Denise chose it to brand her work as part of a forward-thinking community.

2. Make your projects the main focus

With any type of design work, it’s important for visitors to be able to focus their attention on the visuals of your portfolio. Keep the design of your website simple and non-distracting. You don’t want a lot of competing images, text, and animations that take away from the projects in your portfolio.

With DeniDesign.xyz, Denise lets the attractive colors of her design work stand out against a clean white background. She even uses muted colors for all text on the pages. In this way, website visitors’ eyes are guided to the large thumbnail images on her homepage and portfolio pages. That way they can easily navigate to each of her projects by clicking on these links.

3. Use high quality images

If you work in a creative field, the images in your portfolio could be the deciding factor when being considered for a position or project. Include ample photos of the projects that you’ve worked on. Present your work in the best possible way by making sure the images are sharp and the subjects are well-lit.

Denise’s branding project for the Family Asian Mart is a great example of images done right. She includes clean and crisp images when displaying the many uses of the logos and other branding she has designed. You can clearly see how her work is beautifully applied in the business’ wall decal, business cards, coffee cups, flyers, shopping bags, and posters.

4. Tell the story of each project

Including some background information about your work will help to explain why it was a success. Share notes about who the client was, what skills were used, and how the project was marketed.

The page Denise created for street food restaurant De Hawker tells the story of the branding project she worked on for them. From the page’s description, you learn that the restaurant was inspired by traditional Chinese food-serving pushcarts – known as hawker carts. Denise created a slick logo that tied in the shape of a hawker cart along with chopsticks, Chinese characters, and neon signage. Sharing the logo’s inspiration makes the branding even more meaningful and impressive for her website visitors.

Utilize a custom domain name, thoughtful website design, high-quality images, and descriptive background information when building your portfolio website. These four key factors will help showcase your work in a compelling way. Head to DeniDesign.xyz to learn more about Denise and see her polished personal website for yourself.

One of the best ways to feel greater satisfaction from working on your creative passion projects or hobbies is to share your work with others through a personal website. Even if you have many varied interests and skills, you can increase the joy you get from what you are most passionate about by creating a website dedicated to it. This week’s #WebsiteWednesday, ZBKPhotos.xyz, is the perfect inspiration for building a website that shows off your work and brings you closer to your passion.

Zachary Kemper is an LA-based photographer, filmmaker, and actor who uses his portfolio website ZBKPhotos.xyz to share his photography work. Zachary’s journey as an artist began with acting. He studied theatre at Los Angeles County High School and the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. He also wrote and starred in “A Song for your Mixtape“, a short film about confronting difficult mental health issues as an LGBTQ+ youth. It went on to receive over 100,000 views, recognition as a Vimeo Staff Pick, and a screening in the Boys Short Program at Outfest. Now as a sociology major at University of California Irvine, Zachary’s interest in people and personalities guides his art and the expressive way he portrays humanity and relationships in his photos.

The area Zachary explores most often in his photography work is the ability of our physical bodies. His interest in sociology and human behavior is apparent in the overall style and feel that his photos convey. He favors shooting his subjects in creative, visually striking, and sometimes vulnerable situations. His photos are often compelling scenes depicting subjects’ bodies in motion. He rarely chooses to show someone in a photo simply standing or facing the camera without doing something else that is eye-catching and unique. This stylistic choice is another way Zachary’s sociology studies appear to influence his art. Some of Zachary’s most stunning work shows subjects seemingly defying gravity by floating, standing upside down, or even balancing their entire body on one arm. By centering the viewer’s attention on a human body in extreme motion, Zachary gets them to explore their own concept of what is possible for a human to do.

ZBKPhotos.xyz

Zachary says he chose photography as his primary form of creative expression because he “feel(s) most in control of the work I create, which fulfills me more than any other form of art I have ever practiced.” That fulfilling artistic work seems to draw inspiration from his time spent acting, as evidenced by the photos featured on his website. Zachary’s site features vivid headshots and introspective yet revealing self-portraits that one could easily imagine seeing in a magazine promoting his appearance in a film. Zachary’s work bears a cinematic quality, as well. For example, some of his photos seem as if they are stills taken on the set of a movie in the process of filming.

Zachary recently showed his acting skills in his first feature film, “Hollow Bedroom,” which is currently in production. Though he focuses his website on his photography work, his decision to list his achievements in theatre and filmmaking in the About section helps his website visitors get a full picture of his creative inspiration. It also shows his many talents while not distracting from the photographs which are the main focus of his website.

ZBKPhotos.xyz

Zachary is still early on in his career, but his art is already making waves. His photography work garnered him a profile from Los Angeles city guide magazine VoyageLA. While he is pursuing his sociology degree he plans to continue to express his artistic creativity through his photography. He is currently working as a freelance photographer, and wisely shares his portfolio link in his Instagram bio so that he can promote his work to potential collaborators, employers, and fans.

Zachary uses his personal website to exhibit his photography work and share the passion he has for it with others. As he continues to grow his career and his personal brand, his memorable .xyz domain is ready to grow with him. Whatever your passion or hobby is, sharing it with others through your own website creates a closer connection with that hobby and gives you the freedom to display your work in the way you like.

ClassNotes.xyz

ClassNotes.xyz is a startup from Austin, TX that provides educational resources to students from around the world. The company lists their foundational mission as their belief that “good quality education is a basic right of every human being.” ClassNotes.xyz claims their service improves standardized test scores by offering exam prep that costs 10 times less than tuition centers and academies. To get this reduced cost, ClassNotes.xyz says they’ve increased the efficiency of exam preparation by providing personalized feedback to each student according to their strengths and weaknesses. The ClassNotes.xyz service also provides analytics to students about their current preparation and what they need to focus on. Then, ClassNotes.xyz says they can create a detailed study plan and schedule for each student to prepare for their upcoming exams.

ClassNotes.xyz says their main focus is to help their global community of students access educational resources by digitizing and sharing materials through their app and user-friendly online platform. To accomplish this, they designed their app to work along with the ClassNotes.xyz site to create a flexible and complete learning service. Notes for classes in the curriculum are available on the ClassNotes.xyz website, and can then be downloaded onto the ClassNotes.xyz app. Notes are organized according to different subjects and student grade levels. ClassNotes.xyz even gives examples of past papers to help students with homework.

Both the ClassNotes.xyz website and app offer different services designed to provide a full service learning solution. In addition to test materials and guides, ClassNotes.xyz also features a student blog section. Here, students can share articles with advice for studying, choosing careers, and personal educational experiences. On the other end, the ClassNotes.xyz mobile app offers remote access to test prep materials, offline notes, downloadable materials, and flash cards, which are geared towards on-the-go learning. This dual approach and synergy between the ClassNotes.xyz app and website covers different areas of learning to give students test prep help no matter where they’re located.

The service already caught the attention of some notable backers. ClassNotes.xyz is partnered with the Public Information Technology Board of Pakistan and helps provide students prep materials for their exams. In addition, ClassNotes.xyz lists $4.3 billion-funded startup accelerator MassChallenge as a partner.

As ClassNotes.xyz shows, using your website and app together allows you give your audience access to your service no matter where they are in the world. This flexibility can then in turn make them more likely to continue using it. Of course, creating a website for your existing app starts with getting a memorable domain name, like ClassNotes.xyz has. Get the perfect branded domain name for your service and turn your app and website into the ultimate one-two punch.

Carving a path for your career is not always a straightforward task. There are many options, and it can be a challenge to pick the right one for you. Your own style and confidence are among the best guides you have to follow when mapping out your professional path. Success can be found when you’re able to identify the skills that make you stand out and combine them with a strong belief in your work. This week’s #WebsiteWednesday features a celebrated interior designer who shows this method in action. Adri van Zyl decided to make a bold choice and change her career plan at the last minute to enter a whole new industry while using her personal taste to guide her business: AtelierInteriors.xyz.

http://atelierinteriors.xyz/

AtelierInteriors.xyz is an interior architecture and design studio established in 2014 by Cape Town-based interior designer Adri van Zyl. Adri drives the creative side of the business while her husband Vincent helps manage the commercial side. Though she is now at the helm of her own successful design studio, Adri started her career with a plan to study law. The week before her classes began, however, she realized that she felt a stronger passion to study graphic design and photography, despite having no previous background in the arts. Adri’s decision to follow her intuition and passion proved to be both a wise and confident choice.

Through AtelierInteriors.xyz, Adri has made a name in her industry and taken on design projects for major retail, residential, and commercial spaces. Her work has also been featured frequently in notable decor outlets Elle, House & Garden, Architectural Digest, and House and Leisure, among many others. Adri continues to display a confident spirit in her work today by allowing her own taste and morals to guide her business.

As the AtelierInteriors.xyz website explains, the studio brands themselves as a “young, innovative, socially conscious studio that believes in bold design and doing things right. The full list of design services that AtelierInteriors.xyz offers covers everything from A to Z, so their domain perfectly fits with their business approach. This includes architecture and decor, furniture design, procurement, styling, and even project management. The studio says they maintain a focus on beautiful design that is also functional.

To see this approach in action, you can simply flip through a gallery of their past projects from the AtelierInteriors.xyz projects page. Clicking on each individual project will take you to a page sharing insight from Adri into the thought process the studio had for each interior design. For trendy wine bar and restaurant Mulberry & Prince, Adri created a French retro chic design that made it unique to the Cape Town eating scene. In the retail sector, Adri designed a boutique jewelry concept store for Famke Jewelry inspired by Memphis, a 1980s design movement. Adri’s versatility in her craft is also on display in the many residential projects she’s taken on, like her minimalistic approach for a luxury loft space in Cape Town’s city center.

Another area where AtelierInteriors.xyz show their sharpness is through their branding. They communicate with potential clients through an email address branded with their .xyz URL. They also use the URL as their social media handle, making for easy brand recognition and increased memorability. This coordinated marketing strategy allows AtelierInteriors.xyz to generate awareness of their website in all their promotion efforts. It’s also a great strategy for driving more traffic and potential clients to their business.

The .xyz community is home to many creative minds that aren’t afraid to follow their own unique style. Through their carefully crafted website design and promotion, AtelierInteriors.xyz and their intrepid founder Adri perfectly illustrate the spirit of creativity, innovation, and branding savvy the .xyz community is known for. Following your own unique taste is a great way to make your work stand out, and AtelierInteriors.xyz shows it can lead to great career success.

Creative fashion professionals love using .xyz domains. PerryGibson.xyz is the portfolio website of Perry Gibson, a London-based freelance photographer. Perry graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Journalism from the University of the West of England, and now specializes in both film and digital photography. His website showcases his robust portfolio of work, and puts his special talent for fashion and event photography on display.

Perry’s knack for capturing athletic apparel is evident in the brands he’s worked with. His website features two projects with top sportswear label Adidas. He’s captured lively event images for Adidas x Stormzy, where his photos capture the excitement in the eyes of event-goers with the unveiling of the tracksuit collaboration with the popular English rapper. He also skillfully photographed the opening of the Adidas London flagship store, utilizing the event’s neon lighting to create movement in the shots. From his website, it’s clear that catalogue fashion photography is another one of his strengths. His portfolio includes modern streetwear photos he’s taken for popular London footwear retailer Tower London, and cool behind-the-scenes shots he did for the Converse One Star campaign.

Another impressive part of his fashion photography portfolio is street style photography, or documenting the outfits of real people in urban environments. He has an entire section of his website devoted to the stylish show-goers of London Fashion Week, dating back to 2018. His eye for style is evident with the polished snaps he took at the 2019 Women’s Autumn/Winter shows. Anna Wintour, the Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue, is among the many chic attendees he captured. Most recently, he skillfully captured the urban sportswear style that was evident at the 2020 Men’s Autumn/Winter shows. Filled with designer sneaker and statement-making puffer jackets, his shots document the streetwear trend happening in London.

Perry also shares personal images on his website as well, giving the visitor a sense of his character and personality. A section entitled Photo Diary shares vibrant images from the places he’s visited. He also shared a collection of powerful images from a Black Lives Matter protest at London parliament on July 6, 2020.

Through his .xyz website, Perry is able to share his wide range of photos in a format that he has total control over. He alone chooses how his photos are displayed and used; two privileges he would have had to sacrifice using a photo hosting service instead of his own website. Although he is based in London, Perry states that he is available for assignment worldwide, and PerryGibson.xyz helps him to reach that global audience. Go to PerryGibson.xyz to see more of his work or contact him. Stay up to date with his latest photography through his Instagram @perry_gibson.

It’s no secret that .xyz domains are popular among members of the design community. Fashion designer DamoWang.xyz says he loves his .xyz because it makes the brand instantly stand out and get recognized. Multinational design contest platform Uni.xyz says their .xyz is perfect for them because it connects them with design enthusiasts globally and across all generations. Today’s #WebsiteWednesday is another .xyz adopter from the design community, and he uses his .xyz to give an informative look behind his work process: SamLavoie.xyz.

SamLavoie.xyz/

Sam Lavoie, creator of SamLavoie.xyz, is a San Francisco-based industrial designer, artist, and maker who says his interest lies in “developing compelling products and experiences.” As an industrial designer, Sam’s work focuses on creating products or designs to manufacture and scale for mass production. He showcases his many design skills on the impressive resume he’s linked on his website, which range from prototyping, casting and mold making, to even sewing. This is a great way to quickly show potential employers what he is capable of and helps him stand out in the minds of potential collaborators. Sam has laid out the content of his .xyz website as a showcase of his past projects, while also giving in-depth descriptions of his process from idea through creation. He shares this process in great detail via dedicated pages, a system which helps him share his knowledge with other designers and shows potential employers the true depth of his skills.

Sam’s work experience includes completing projects for a handful of notable companies. He competed in NASA’s Rover Challenge, an annual off-road collegiate race that draws teams from around the world to compete to build the lightest, fastest, and most capable 2-person off-road vehicle. He and his team’s rover placed 2nd overall from a field of 115 teams. Their design also took home the award for lightest vehicle. On the dedicated page for this rover project, Sam gives a full description of how he and his team built such a lightweight vehicle. He details their progress from initial sketching and 3D models all the way through to creating the design and putting it together for the competition. He shares photos from the creation and testing process as well which helps give a personal connection to his working process.

Many of the creative designs Sam features on his site involve items that aim to improve home life. For example, he created his lightweight indoor/outdoor leisure chair design Helium with the goal of producing a chair that is “easy to move around, easy to clean, and easy to relax in.” Another unique design Sam showcases on his site is the Mesa handheld vacuum cleaner which integrates stylishly within decorative potted plants. He’s also developed a line of glassware for glass maker Nachtmann called Erode. Sam designed the set to be simple, stylish, and usable for all ages. On each page for these projects, Sam shows the benefits of the product, how he came to the final design presented, and what steps he took to get from prototype to final product. This gives special insight into his process and is a great way to showcase his design ability.

Sam has worked on experimental designs as well, which he features on his website to show his process for his most imaginative projects. Some of the concepts include headgear made to optimize the wearer’s senses, a minimal calculator, and a modern-looking vest fitted with electricity to glow on command. He created a page dedicated to these designs to show them all in one quick and simple display. This page shows potential employers and collaborators his ability to think outside the box and the potential he has for creativity.

The .xyz community is home to amazing and inspiring designers from around the world. SamLavoie.xyz shows through the work on his thoughtfully designed personal website that he’s a great example of that community in action. His website is a perfect look into his process and sets him up to attract future collaborators and employers by giving a full picture of his creative process.

3D Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) technologies are quickly becoming a popular tool in many industries. To see examples of this in practice, look no further than the many inspiring startups creating AR/VR products and services in the .xyz community. Elsewhere.xyz, launched by a former Mozilla executive, developed affordable AR glasses that turn regular smartphone content into a 3D experience. SkyBox.xyz are the manufacturers of 4K VR goggles that let users stream online content through their chosen VR software. Education-focused company Langzou.xyz gives educators in China the power to teach VR-capable lessons. This week’s #WebsiteWednesday focuses on another .xyz adopter whose domain is a perfect fit to promote their cutting-edge VR/AR app development technology; EchoAR.xyz.

https://www.echoar.xyz/

EchoAR.xyz is a cloud-based 3D, VR, and AR app development platform. EchoAR.xyz’s mission is to make it simple for developers and content creators to build, manage, and deploy applications capable of displaying 3D images. Apps created using EchoAR.xyz’s service are compatible with some of the most popular platforms for AR/VR and 3D content, including Apple and Android phones as well as Google Chrome and Firefox web browsers. According to EchoAR.xyz, their backend-focused approach saves developers time by not requiring them to build or maintain a backend of their own. The goal of this process, according to EchoAR.xyz, is to allow developers to go from development to testing to production quickly and get their app to market sooner. EchoAR.xyz also sells its service as a means to scale AR and VR projects for enterprise customers. The company has a demonstration of their product in action to introduce its benefits to new users.

Alon Grinshpoon, EchoAR.xyz’s Founder and CEO, explains the service came from a need he recognized in the AR/VR market. “EchoAR.xyz was born from a pressing problem facing the AR/VR development community. During our time at Columbia University and by observing many AR/VR projects in development, we noticed that developers struggle to create scalable and dynamic AR/VR apps. Developers struggle to onboard clients since any change in the app results in endless development cycles. In order to scale the development of frontend-heavy experiences like AR/VR apps, a cross-platform backend infrastructure is needed: ‘the AWS of AR/VR.’ We decided to build it for them.”

As an industry-pushing innovator, EchoAR.xyz wanted a domain name that matched their company ideals. Alon says they knew they found just that with their .xyz domain. “Since we are dealing with cutting-edge emerging technology such as AR/VR, we believed it would be fitting to choose a cutting-edge domain to reflect that – XYZ is literally on the edge of the English alphabet. And speaking of alphabet, Alphabet Inc. chose abc.xyz as their domain, so it can’t be a bad choice.”

EchoAR.xyz’s work has garnered them some truly remarkable industry-wide acclaim both in the form of award recognition and funding/support. They made the Top 25 at Sir Richard Branson’s Extreme Tech Challenge 2019 and the API 300 Top Industry updates of 2019, as well as Pepperdine’s Most Fundable Companies list. Their technology also came in first overall at the 2019 DevProject Awards. Their service has been featured at CES and was a pitch finalist at SXSW, as well. With so many impressive accolades to their name, it may come as little surprise that The Hill and Entrepreneur have both written about their service. EchoAR.xyz has received financial backing from notable investors like the Verizon 5G lab, as well.

The technology EchoAR.xyz has built is also making an impact in the lives of the next generation of AR/VR innovators. Their platform was featured at the Teens Take on COVID hackathon. Participants at a pair of Silicon Valley-based hackathons have even credited EchoAR.xyz’s software for helping them bootstrap their project which won the competition.

Building the next big project in your industry starts with a vision and a goal. EchoAR.xyz had the vision to create an AR/VR service that would help companies scale their apps, and set out with a goal to build a platform addressing that need. When you launch a cutting edge business, your website should match the forward-thinking nature of your product or service. That’s exactly what EchoAR.xyz has with its domain. EchoAR.xyz has an innovative service and they’re a stellar example of the startups shaping the future of their industries while using .xyz domains.

This week’s #WebsiteWednesday features another gifted artist and .xyz adopter showcasing her impressive projects and unique style on her website, Amindi.xyz.

amindi.xyz/

Amindi.xyz is the hybrid promotional and personal webpage of 20-year-old reggae and R&B singer Amindi K. Fro$t. Aminidi says, “My intention was to create a blog-like site where my supporters could keep up with my latest releases as well as extra content that goes along with them.” Amindi has welcomed many of those supporters since her 2017 hit single “pine & ginger”, which has reached over 14 million plays on Spotify. The song catapulted her into the music spotlight, earning her a profile from Vice and a documentary from The Fader. She’s even given a tour of her hometown of Inglewood, California for LA-based urban innovator publication Citizen.

Amindi’s impressive streaming numbers and growing media profile are great signs of her stellar rise to prominence. Her personal career milestones illustrate her impressive reach as well. One of the best examples is when Amindi received an invitation to perform in Portmore, Jamaica. Her music is such a hit in the country that the audience sang her lyrics back to her at the show. This was particularly special for Amindi, as her Jamaican roots play an integral role in much of her music along with her home city. “One side (of me) is dipped in my LA culture while the other side is dipped in my very strong household Jamaican culture,” she says. “There’s no denying that I’m from LA, but also, I’m very proud to be Caribbean and West Indian.”

Amindi shows that pride in her website design, which features a Jamaican-inspired color palette that seems to reflect the country’s significance to her heritage and her music. Clicking the side navigation menu links will take you to dedicated pages for each of Amindi’s singles. The pages are complete with embedded streaming links, full lyrics, and song credits. This is not only a good way to promote her work, but also a way Amindi shows her personality and gives a glimpse into her thoughts on her music. For the songs “love em leave em” and “eggs aisle” she uses funky, colorful text that creates a playful vibe. For “eggs aisle” specifically, she’s overlaid that same colorful type on top of gifs of herself making eggs which function as a quirky, eye-catching calls-to-action that entice visitors to watch or listen to the song.

https://amindi.xyz/

The dedicated page for “pine & ginger” is the most similar to a classic diary or blog entry that you’ll find on Amindi’s website. On the page she shares a short essay about the history of the song while exploring her current feelings about it two years after it launched her to stardom. The post is a touching personal perspective from an artist who is very aware of her creative direction and grateful for the path that led her there.

Amindi knows the power of her personal website, which is why she puts it to good use by making it a key part of her self promotion. The About section of her Spotify page links directly to Amindi.xyz, making it the main source for listeners who want to learn more about her. She also promotes the memorably-branded URL as the sole content of her Instagram bio, as well.

When it came time to choose a domain extension, it’s not surprising someone as creative as Amindi was drawn to choosing a domain name that matches her mindset. As she simply put it, “I chose the .xyz domain because it was the coolest and most unique out of the options.” Amindi is an exciting talent to watch thanks to her creative vision and songwriting skills. Her personal website Amindi.xyz is a great example of the creativity and unique artistic styles of the members of the .xyz community.

When you start your own business and develop a company mission, a good strategy is to think about how you will set your business apart from the rest of the industry. One of the best ways you can do this is through your company’s approach to the work you do. This week’s #WebsiteWednesday serves as great inspiration for this idea, being a company that has made “radical creativity” the cornerstone of their work: Comuzi.xyz.

Comuzi.xyz is a design studio based in London. The company is the brainchild of design-focused entrepreneurs Richard Fagbolagun, Alexander Fefegha, and Akil Benjamin. The core of Comuzi.xyz’s entire approach centers on what they have termed “radical creativity as a service.” Comuzi.xyz explains on their site’s company info page that their radical creativity approach is a “mix of play, rigor, experimentation, and tech-forward thinking.”

Comuzi.xyz’s “radical creativity as a service” model finds and turns real human problems into creative opportunities and solutions. On the website, Comuzi.xyz says they do this by developing radical working prototypes and radical proof-of-concepts with clear insights and steps to move forward. This kind of out-of-the-box thinking is how Comuzi.xyz takes a different angle and approach to their projects. It’s also how the group aims to set itself apart from its competitors. They say this creative process enables them to work on everything from design research and advanced prototyping to immersive future scenarios.

Their progressive approach seems to have caught the attention of many elite brands who have asked Comuzi.xyz to take on projects for them. This includes Nike, Uber, ASOS, the UK’s National Health Service, Ernst & Young, BBC R&D, Samsung, and Mozilla Foundation. Their portfolio of work, which you can scroll through on the Comuzi.xyz homepage, shows what their process looks like in action.

For Ernst & Young and Feminist Internet, they developed an AI-powered chatbot that teaches people about AI bias and its effects. For Mozilla Foundation’s MozFest 2019, they built an “invisible mask” prototype into a baseball cap which prevents facial recognition software from identifying the wearer. For BBC R&D, they utilized an 8-day sprint project planning approach to create five prototypes made to simplify news articles. The goal of this sprint was “to better engage Generation Z individuals and young-middle aged women to participate and understand the news more effectively”. Comuzi.xyz’s process and approach on the project drew praise from BBC R&D’s lead producer and won the company the Best Digital Innovation Award at the 2019 BBCNews awards.

The impressive scope of Comuzi.xyz’s portfolio is a credit to the versatility of their approach. It’s also helped them grab a foothold in their industry and build their business. Comuzi.xyz puts their “radical creativity” process into action by using it as a guiding principle in each step of product development. Their commitment to this mission is evident in the final product results. It’s proven to be a wise choice by the praise they’ve received from their clients.

In many industries, your company mission not only guides your business but is also a key area where you can choose to set yourself apart from the pack. Staying true to that vision and living it through your work is the path forward to ultimate success, as Comuzi.xyz shows. Comuzi.xyz is a great embodiment of both radical creativity and tireless perseverance. Both qualities are hallmarks of the .xyz community, of which Comuzi.xyz is a shining example.
