Forward-thinking businesses have been embracing .xyz domains and upgrading to domain names that signal innovation and expansion. The parent company of popular services such as Cash App and Square credit card reader rebranded to Block.xyz to indicate their growth. Investment firm Dragonfly upgraded to Dragonfly.xyz to signal a global presence and deep technical expertise. Collectible trading card platform Alt upgraded to Alt.xyz as they expanded their alternative assets platform to include options for buying, selling, storing, and borrowing against valuable trading cards. In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to a newly rebranded financial technology company with a focus on expanded banking services: Capital.xyz.
Capital.xyz is the online home of newly named fintech company Capital (previously Party Round). Before rebranding to the more memorable Capital.xyz, Party Round provided solutions for founders, with a focus on an automated fundraising tool. CEO Jordi Hays explained in the press that their rebrand was tied to the company’s expanding vision to support other startups. Party Round reflected a product for fundraising and bringing together investors, but it limited the vision he and co-founder Sarah Chase had for the company. Capital.xyz’s expanded platform will still help startups raise money, but will offer additional features that allow those startups to use their capital immediately.1 As stated simply on their Twitter bio, Capital.xyz aims to help you “raise, hold, spend, and send funds – all in one place.”
The new platform offers benefits for startups as well as investors. Companies can sign up for an account on Capital.xyz to begin fundraising. Capital.xyz can issue a virtual Visa debit card once the companies begin raising capital so they can start using the funds they just received. Startups can also connect the Capital.xyz app to other fintech services like HR platform Gusto. This can help companies to raise money directly through Capital.xyz and then hold, spend, and send cash through it. Potential investors are able to do some angel investing in early-stage companies within Capital.xyz’s network and track that investment. The platform also added an NFT associated with the funding round. Investors can choose whether they wish to display the NFT on Twitter as evidence of their investment. Capital.xyz provides a full set of resources for founders and investors on their Support page, including how to start a fundraising round and how to invest using wire transfer.
We are always happy to have growing, innovative businesses like Capital.xyz in the .xyz community of forward-thinkers, and we look forward to seeing their continued growth. You can learn more by following them on Twitter and LinkedIn, and by visiting Capital.xyz.

In this week’s #BlockchainThursday, we’ll introduce you to an educational blog aimed at helping beginners learn about web3: GirlMeetsWeb3.xyz.
GirlMeetsWeb3.xyz is the web3-themed blog of Vancouver-based content marketing manager Kelly Karn. Just as Kelly was becoming dissatisfied with social media platforms and other aspects of web2, she began learning about blockchain technology. Kelly explored NFTs and learned more about the metaverse, and began gaining an understanding of web3. Recognizing the complexity of the web3 space, Kelly decided to develop GirlMeetsWeb3.xyz to help other beginners have an easier time.
Kelly refers to web3 as “a movement” and “a gradual shift towards something that is being built right now.” She warns that she is not a web3 expert, and encourages everyone to empower themselves with “the knowledge of the new internet.” Kelly has developed GirlMeetsWeb3.xyz as a resource to help you do just that. Select the Start Here option to be taken to her blog, where you can choose between two options: Internet Culture or Web3 Resources. The Internet Culture page hosts Kelly’s various blog posts about the internet, including The Rise and Fall of Tumblr, which details the evolution of the digital blogging platform. She also shares a post titled Formspring: A Lesson in Internet Anonymity, which discusses the pros and cons of the popular Q&A platform. The Web3 Resources page is where you can begin to learn about web3. GirlMeetsWeb3.xyz features sections for NFTs, Metaverse, Web3, and Crypto. Blockchain-focused startups working to help ensure the widespread adoption and success of web3 are building their online homes on .xyz domains. Web3 platform Disco.xyz is designed to foster a secure metaverse experience with enhanced privacy features. Decentralized crypto custodian Entropy.xyz aims to revolutionize the way crypto is stored. Social networking platform Prysm.xyz works to connect amateur and experienced crypto investors. In this week’s #BlockchainThursday, we’ll introduce you to a web3 startup aimed at providing developers with an easier way of working with blockchain data: N.xyz.
N.xyz is the online home of nxyz, a new data infrastructure firm developed by former Google advertising executive Sridhar Ramaswamy. The firm’s application programming interface (API) is designed to quickly scan blockchains and their associated applications for data pertaining to NFTs, crypto wallets, and more, and then stream that data to developers in real-time. N.xyz comes from the same team behind the private, ad-free search engine Neeva, which Sridhar co-founded in 2019. N.xyz raised $40 million in a funding round led by crypto-focused venture fund Paradigm.xyz, with additional backing from crypto and web3-focused Coinbase Ventures, VC firm Sequoia Capital and more.1 The capital will be used to hire talent, build out support for emerging use cases, and to expand across different blockchains.
As Sridhar shares in the firm’s announcement post, the N.xyz team are no strangers to big data infrastructure. The company is comprised of web3 enthusiasts and distributed systems veterans who built the early infrastructure of Google Search and Ads serving systems. Sridhar shares his belief that no other product on the market can offer the speed, uptime, throughput, and flexibility that N.xyz can, and that their multi-chain indexing infrastructure can serve as your foundation for building in web3.
N.xyz makes great use of a 1 letter premium .xyz domain. If you choose a premium domain that is short, catchy, and direct, such as N.xyz, then chances are greater that it will be easier to say, read, repeat, and remember. A short domain name makes it easy, especially on mobile devices, for a customer to type your URL into their web browser and get to your website. A memorable and easy to spell domain helps customers visit the URL after hearing your domain name, for example in a podcast or from a video. A domain that exactly matches your brand name, like N.xyz, can benefit your visibility in search engines, as people may search your exact brand name to find your website. As of October 14, 2022, N.xyz ranks first in major search engines like Google and Bing for the search term “nxyz.”
We are inspired by Sridhar’s interest in helping web3 developers work with blockchain data, which makes N.xyz a great fit in the .xyz community. As their team explained to us, “We chose .xyz because it is the domain extension for next generation crypto companies.” N.xyz is still in beta, but you can join the waitlist now to stay updated. You can learn more by following the platform on Twitter, joining the Discord, and by visiting N.xyz.
Web3 music platforms that harness the power of blockchain technology are building their online homes on .xyz domains. Crypto music publishing platform Sound.xyz aims to disrupt the music industry by helping recording artists gain more of their music’s value by turning songs into collectible NFTs. NFT platform Relics.xyz is designed for fans to collect and display music collectibles, which include a unique visual and full-length song from Monstercat’s roster of Electronic musicians. Forbes-featured artist Brandon Tory’s Formless.xyz leverages blockchain technology to change the way music and other digital content is valued and distributed. In this week’s #BlockchainThursday, we’ll introduce you to a venture fund aimed at investing in artists and startup founders who are uniting web3 and music: CoopRecords.xyz.
CoopRecords.xyz is the online home of Coop Records LP, a $10 million early-stage venture fund aimed at investing in the next generation of music. The Los Angeles-based company strives to invest in platforms, protocols, artists, and tokens enabled by web3 and will work directly with founders and artists to build products that can generate new revenue streams. Founder Cooper Turley is a notable investor and NFT collector who was featured in Fortune magazine’s 2021 NFTy 50 list of the most influential people in the NFT space.1

On September 8, 2022 Cooper introduced CoopRecords.xyz in a series of tweets that also explained his vision for the company as a hybrid between a venture fund, a record label, and an incubator that works with founders to create new revenue streams for music. In a blog post announcement, he shared that CoopRecords.xyz will build a future where artists can raise money and profit off their work without needing to sell their songs to a record label.
Cooper Turley has worked in the music industry for 10 years, including stints as a DJ and an artist manager. He’s been involved in the web3 space for the past five years, most notably co-creating the Friends With Benefits (FWB) DAO. He is a former venture partner at web3-focused Variant and an active advisor across leading web3 music projects like decentralized music platform Audius. He welcomes the sharing of new projects and investment opportunities by contacting him via his branded email address: [email protected] When you have an email address directly associated with your domain name, potential collaborators can use that email address to find your website and feel confident that they’re reaching out to the appropriate person. Cooper scored the CoopRecords.xyz domain thanks to the choice and availability that exists within .xyz domains. We are inspired by Cooper’s vision for this innovative venture fund.
