Corda.xyz – Safenames customer – (Cayman Islands)

TL;DR:

  • Corda.xyz is the online home of Corda, a Solana-native protocol designed to distribute institutional real-world asset (RWA) yield through onchain vaults.
  • Enterprise blockchain company R3 serves as a key service provider for the protocol, while the independent Corda Foundation governs it, according to R3.
  • According to Corda.xyz, R3 is backed by more than 40 global financial institutions, including UBS, Barclays, Citi, and HSBC.
  • Solana Foundation President Lily Liu serves on R3’s board.

Corda.xyz Overview

  • What: Corda.xyz describes Corda as a distribution layer that brings tokenized institutional assets to eligible onchain investors through a permissioned experience built on Solana.
  • Why: Corda aims to open RWA yield opportunities, previously limited to institutional customers, to eligible investors through one onboarding flow.
  • When: R3 announced Corda protocol in December 2025 on behalf of the protocol’s governing foundation, which formed in summer 2025.
  • Where: The Corda Foundation’s privacy policy lists a contact address in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
  • How: Investors deposit stablecoins into a vault and receive a Solana token representing their position.

In The News

  • In August 2026, digital asset media and intelligence platform Genfinity highlighted Corda protocol as a planned Solana-native venue for institutional RWA yield, alongside its coverage of R3 connecting existing Corda networks to Solana through an onchain notary.
  • In December 2025, blockchain news publication Ledger Insights reported on plans to launch Corda protocol on Solana. The outlet noted that then-R3 Labs CEO Richard Brown compared the protocol’s vaults to traditional asset managers curating mutual funds while speaking at Solana Breakpoint in Abu Dhabi.

How Corda.xyz Works

Onboarding and deposits

Corda outlines a five-step process for investors:

  • Onboard: Complete verification and connect a wallet. Access depends on jurisdiction, eligibility, and each vault’s requirements.
  • Explore vaults: Compare open vaults side by side by exposure, yield, and composability (the ability to plug into other DeFi applications).
  • Deposit: Send stablecoins into a chosen vault through Corda’s custody workflows.
  • Receive vault tokens: Get a token whose value follows the underlying assets and their yield over time.
  • Hold or use: Keep the position, use supported onchain strategies, or tap liquidity routes where offered.

Putting vault tokens to work

According to Corda.xyz, vault tokens keep earning yield while deployed across approved DeFi integrations:

  • Hold: Receive yield from the underlying exposure directly in a wallet.
  • Collateralize: Post tokens as collateral in supported lending or borrowing protocols without redeeming them.
  • Loop: Recycle yield-bearing exposure to increase capital efficiency, where available.
  • Exit: Redeem during standard redemption windows or through expedited liquidity options.

Permissioned design

  • Every participating wallet goes through eligibility checks before it can interact with Corda vaults.
  • KYC (identity verification), AML (anti-money laundering), and KYB (business verification) controls are applied at the wallet level.
  • NAV (net asset value) calculation and reconciliation between onchain and offchain systems aim to keep each token’s value tied to the assets behind it.

Technology and issuance

  • According to R3’s announcement, R3 acts as a key service provider for the protocol, offering tokenization services to asset issuers and managers.
  • R3’s announcement says the company is leveraging Solana’s Token-2022 standards and built-in privacy and compliance tooling to provide issuers with a route to onchain asset distribution.
  • R3 says the protocol gives professional curators infrastructure to build RWA-anchored strategies, with vaults able to hold vetted RWAs alongside DeFi-native assets.
  • For issuers, Corda provides a legal structure and distribution route to reach eligible onchain capital, while its vault infrastructure handles custody, treasury coordination, and NAV reconciliation.
