According to the website, College.xyz aims to close the gap between traditional education and the fast-moving pace of technological innovation. What began as the Midwest Blockchain Conference—an event that brought together over 400 students from 35 universities—has evolved into a year-round ecosystem connecting student talent with industry leaders through internships, grants, and educational opportunities.
The platform serves as a bridge between students and companies shaping the future of blockchain and emerging technologies. The organization offers access to career opportunities, internships, and paid bounties that reward student contributions in content, design, and development. College.xyz is co-founded by Evan Solomon and Shashank Kalluri. As highlighted on LinkedIn, Evan serves as Chief of Staff at Portal Ventures, a blockchain-focused investment firm, and previously helped launch the inaugural Midwest Blockchain Conference at the University of Michigan. Shashank, an Associate Consultant at global management consulting firm Bain & Company, served as President of Michigan Blockchain and continues to advance student engagement in decentralized technology education.
