Openfort.xyz is the online home of Openfort, a wallet-as-a-service (WaaS) platform designed to support web3 gaming studios and developers. Founders Joan and Jaume Alavedra are both experienced engineers with diverse backgrounds spanning autonomous driving models, health tech applications, market-making in finance, and encryption protocols. Joan, now Openfort’s CEO, grew up in Barcelona and later moved to Berlin, where he worked with Rocket Internet and Formel Skin. Jaume, the CTO, previously worked on ADAS systems for self-driving vehicles and developing cryptographic solutions for secure storage. Before launching Openfort, the duo demonstrated their skills in blockchain technology in 2022, winning crypto hackathons hosted by ETHOnline and Encode Club.
