Blockchain infrastructure innovators use .xyz domains to develop and share decentralized data solutions. Layer-2 blockchain Atlas.xyz aims to deliver low-cost, reliable solutions for verifiable finance. Decentralized storage platform Walrus.xyz launches with scalable data recovery and verification tools. Crypto startup GTE.xyz develops decentralized exchange infrastructure on MegaETH for onchain trading. In this week’s #BlockchainThursday, we’ll introduce you to a programmable oracle platform designed to support cross-chain verification and interoperability: SEDA.xyz.
SEDA.xyz is the online home of SEDA, which describes itself as a programmable oracle infrastructure. In blockchain, an oracle is a tool that provides external information—such as market prices, weather data, or transaction details—to smart contracts so they can function beyond their own network. According to the company, SEDA is designed to give developers a modular and permissionless framework for integrating this type of off-chain data into various blockchain environments. In February 2025, SEDA announced its Interoperability Verification Module (IVM) framework. This framework is described as a plug-and-play system for verifying cross-chain transactions, aiming to set an industry standard for verification across different blockchain platforms and virtual machine environments.1
SEDA operates in the field of decentralized oracle infrastructure, which is designed to provide external data for use in blockchain applications like smart contracts and decentralized finance (DeFi). These oracles can help connect blockchains to the wider digital world, allowing systems to share information securely. According to the company, SEDA’s framework combines three main components:
This multi-layered process is intended to make cross-chain transactions more dependable. In its February 2025 announcement, the company stated that the IVM framework is designed to meet the scaling needs of an ecosystem that could include more than 2,000 active networks by 2026. This approach is also described as an effort to address ongoing challenges in interoperability, such as reducing the risks of network downtime, collusion between operators, or data manipulation.2
SEDA is co-founded by Peter Mitchell and Jasper De Gooijer. Peter also leads Mitchell Ventures, a family office that invests in blockchain protocols and companies, and is a member of the Open Oracle Association, which supports the development of decentralized oracle tools. Jasper has a background in web3 development and scalability research and has founded other projects in the decentralized finance and open finance sectors.
Using SEDA.xyz as its online presence aligns with .xyz’s appeal among blockchain innovators and builders developing forward-thinking technologies. .XYZ is widely adopted by pioneers in emerging sectors, including AI, decentralized finance, and multi-chain infrastructure. SEDA’s use of SEDA.xyz positions the company within this global community of creators and technologists who use .xyz domains to share projects aimed at shaping the future of digital ecosystems. You can learn more by following the platform on X/Twitter and LinkedIn, by joining the Discord, and by visiting SEDA.xyz.
