Collaborative projects and immersive storytelling on iamabc.xyz

Visitors to iamabc.xyz can explore Ash’s multifaceted work across art, science, and technology. Her website highlights her experience with Hyphen-Labs, an international collective of engineers, scientists, and artists, where she served as Director of Brand Marketing and Research and co-created NeuroSpeculative AfroFeminism (NSAF). As shared on the website, NSAF is a three-part digital narrative that combines speculative product design, virtual reality, and cognitive research to reimagine futures for Black women in STEM. In an interview with Vice, Ash explained that the virtual reality installation places users in the body of a Black woman in a salon, a narrative device aimed at encouraging audiences to reflect on bias and representation in emerging technologies. 4Hyphen-Labs was awarded a 2019 United States Artists fellowship in Media for this work. NSAF premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017 and has since been featured at SXSW, the Tribeca Film Festival, and other events.

The website also details Ash’s speaking engagements and workshops. She lectures on topics related to technology, identity, neuroscience, and systems of belief at universities, conferences, and company-sponsored events.
