In April 2024, Maverick Protocol introduced Maverick v2, which features “Programmable Pools,” a new smart contract system designed to help developers control how liquidity pools operate. According to Maverick’s blog post, AI models can be used to adjust pool parameters dynamically, such as optimizing fees or managing trades based on real-time inference results. This flexibility positions Maverick Protocol as a decentralized exchange (DEX) infrastructure aimed at supporting emerging AI applications in DeFi.
Founding member Alvin Xu, according to his LinkedIn profile, previously served as a product manager at crypto wallet platform MetaMask and digital asset platform ABRA. He also worked on product development and ecosystem initiatives at peer-to-peer file sharing protocol BitTorrent and blockchain development organization TRON Foundation. His background across wallet infrastructure, decentralized applications, and blockchain ecosystems reflects a range of experience relevant to the development of Maverick Protocol.
