Multidisciplinary designer Kuba Skurski uses KSkurski.xyz to highlight branding, UI/UX, and visual design work. Art director Marko Medic uses MarkoMedic.xyz to share his work for brands such as Glossier and La Croix. In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to a graphic artist and designer who shares her portfolio across public health, branding, print, and type design on a .xyz of her own: SheCreative.xyz.

Introducing Shelby Osbourn, graphic artist and designer

SheCreative.xyz is the personal website of Shelby Osbourn, a graphic artist and designer based in Northwest Arkansas. According to the website’s About page, Shelby holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Arkansas School of Art and an Associate of Arts from Northwest Arkansas Community College. Shelby currently serves as a Senior Graphic Artist for University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Institute for Community Health Innovation in Springdale, Arkansas. As stated on SheCreative.xyz, Shelby’s work focuses on translating complex healthcare information into clear, engaging visuals for diverse communities across Arkansas. Prior to that role, Shelby spent five years as a Digital Services Specialist at the University of Arkansas and held a position as a Designer at advertising agency Omelet.

Exploring SheCreative.xyz: From analog projects to digital work

Visitors to SheCreative.xyz are greeted with two options: About and Work. Selecting Work leads to Shelby’s portfolio, organized into sections titled “Analog” and “Digital.” The Digital showcase loads by default, while the Analog option displays a hover menu of individual projects, including “Pocket Guide to the Web,” described on the website as a collaborative informational booklet designed to translate internet concepts into digestible infographics, and an “Odds & Ends” collection that includes event posters, wedding invitations, album covers, and merchandise designs. Also listed in the Analog menu are bookbinding and publication projects such as the Japanese Stitch Bound Book and Squash Accordion.

Shelby’s Digital section showcases a wider range of project types, from brand identity work to custom type design. Among the identity projects, Shelby presents a full branding system for a sushi restaurant concept called Tokyo Sushi, which, according to SheCreative.xyz, pairs Japanese letterforms with a bold sans-serif typeface and draws on classic Japanese textiles and color palettes. A music festival identity project spans posters, lanyards, wristbands, billboard designs, social media assets, and merchandise for a fictional festival concept. The Digital section also features a custom typeface called Handy, described on the project’s page as a handmade font inspired by lettering found in a 1990s issue of The Arkansas Traveler within archives of the University Libraries. Shelby also highlights her work for the nonprofit organization Teen Action & Support Center (TASC), for which she developed a full style guide and Instagram content during a creative internship.

SheCreative.xyz: A flexible domain for a multidisciplinary creative practice
