5 .xyz websites that illustrate the power of a short, memorable domain name

As digital projects continue to launch, grow, and reach new audiences, building a strong online presence remains an important part of how ideas are shared on the web. A clear and recognizable domain name can often be one of the first ways people encounter a project, making it an important foundation for how a brand is referenced, remembered, and revisited online.

This year’s XYZ Quarterly theme is “Strengthening Digital Identity with XYZ Registry Domains.” Throughout 2026, we will explore different elements that can support a project’s digital identity, from choosing an effective domain name to refining how websites communicate their purpose and offerings, alongside examples of websites using XYZ Registry domains that apply these strategies.

In Q1, we focus on short, memorable domain names. Concise domains can help make a brand easier to reference in conversation, presentations, and online discussions. They can also make it simpler for visitors to remember and return to a website after their first interaction. Below, we highlight five websites from the .xyz community that illustrate how a short, memorable domain name can support a project’s identity while making it easier to reference, remember, and revisit a brand online.

The value of a short, memorable domain name

Choosing a concise domain name can help make a website easier for people to reference, remember, and return to. Short domain names are often simpler to type, share in conversation, and recognize at a glance. When a brand’s name and its web address align in a clear and compact format, the domain itself can become a natural extension of the brand’s identity.

Short domains can also support clarity across a project’s digital presence. A short, memorable address takes up less space, reduces the chance of errors when typing, and is quicker to share, making it easier to include in presentations, social media posts, event materials, or word-of-mouth conversations. It can also align more naturally with social media handles or branded email addresses, helping create a consistent identity across platforms. Because the domain is quick to recall, visitors may find it easier to locate the website again later, whether they are searching for the project by name or navigating directly to the address.

As digital communities grow and projects reach wider audiences, a clear and memorable domain can play an important role in helping people find the right destination online. The following .xyz websites illustrate how a short, recognizable domain name can reinforce a brand while making it easier for visitors to reference and revisit a project online.

1. Stable.xyz

Stable.xyz

Stable.xyz is the online home of Stable, a Layer 1 blockchain network designed to power global transactions using stablecoins. The project focuses on enabling faster, more efficient digital payments by building infrastructure centered on widely used assets such as USDT and PayPal USD (PYUSD). The network features sub-second block finality and gas-free peer-to-peer USDT transfers, aiming to make stablecoin transactions practical for individuals, merchants, and financial institutions operating across borders.

A short domain that matches the project’s name helps create a recognizable address that is easy to reference and remember. Visitors to the website can explore the network’s documentation, roadmap, and technical updates, while developers and partners can learn more about the platform’s architecture and its approach to stablecoin-based payments. The short name also carries across the project’s social presence, including @stablexyz on LinkedIn and @stable on Twitter/X, helping reinforce a consistent and recognizable identity across platforms.

In cases where the exact brand name is not available as a handle, incorporating the domain ending can help maintain clarity across platforms.

2. Bridge.xyz

Bridge.xyz

Bridge.xyz is the online home of Bridge, a financial technology company acquired by Stripe in a $1.1B deal in October 20241, focused on simplifying global money movement through stablecoins. Founded by former Square and Coinbase employees, the platform aims to help businesses integrate stablecoin payments into their existing financial systems without needing to manage blockchain infrastructure directly. Bridge offers tools such as orchestration APIs for incorporating stablecoin payments and issuance APIs that help companies issue and settle transactions using digital currencies tied to traditional assets like the U.S. dollar and euro.

A domain that matches the company’s name, like Bridge.xyz, creates a clear and recognizable address that is easy to reference and remember. Visitors to the website can explore the platform’s developer tools, learn about its approach to connecting traditional finance with blockchain-based systems, and review how the company supports global stablecoin payments.

3. TITLES.xyz

TITLES.xyz is the online home of TITLES, a creative technology platform that develops tools powered by artist-trained AI models. The platform focuses on helping artists and intellectual property holders define, share, and monetize their creative perspective through AI while maintaining attribution. Instead of relying on generalized datasets, TITLES builds custom models trained directly on an artist’s own work, helping ensure that the resulting AI outputs reflect a specific creative voice and process.

A short, memorable domain like TITLES.xyz creates a clear and recognizable address that is easy to reference and remember. Visitors to the website can explore how artist-trained models function, view examples such as the Scroll model created with artist Emily Xie, and learn how the platform approaches attribution and revenue sharing for AI-generated work.

As CEO Sören Wrenn shared when discussing the company’s domain choice,

“We decided to build TITLES on the .xyz domain because of what it represents and the clarity of the form. It promotes the idea of open-ended, unfinished, and speculative work that aligns with TITLES’ mission of building public infrastructure for artist-owned AI.”

The platform’s domain reflects this emphasis on clarity and creative expression.

4. Trames.xyz

Trames.xyz

Trames.xyz is the online home of Trames, a women-led literary agency based in France that represents authors and supports publishers across global markets. The agency works with both established writers and emerging talent, helping guide projects through the publishing process, from manuscript development and publisher placement to contract negotiation and promotional support. Trames also manages the transfer of rights for international editions, audiovisual adaptations, graphic novels, and audiobooks, helping extend the reach of authors and publishers across multiple markets and formats.

The platform’s name and domain align directly in Trames.xyz, creating a short and recognizable address that is easy to reference and remember. Visitors to the website can learn about the agency’s authors, explore its publishing partnerships, and discover how it supports storytelling across borders.

5. Self.xyz

Self.xyz

Self.xyz is the online home of Self Protocol, an identity infrastructure platform designed to verify real users on the internet while protecting their personal information. According to Self’s documentation, the protocol uses zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to verify attributes such as age or nationality from electronic passports without exposing the underlying data. The platform describes this approach as a way to help developers confirm that users interacting with an application are unique individuals, while supporting selective disclosure and compliance requirements. In November 2025, Self raised $9M to expand its technology and introduced a points program for verified users.2

A one-word domain helps create a clear and recognizable address that is easy to reference and remember. Visitors to the website can explore the platform’s identity tools, including products such as Self Pass and Self Connect, while developers can review documentation and integration details.

The lasting value of a short, memorable domain

Short, memorable domain names can make it easier for people to reference, remember, and return to a website. When a brand’s name and web address align in a concise, recognizable format, the domain itself becomes part of how the project is discussed and shared online. The websites highlighted above illustrate how members of the .xyz community use short domains to reinforce their brand identities while providing a clear destination for visitors exploring new platforms, tools, and creative work. Over time, this clarity can help strengthen recognition and make it easier for people to find and revisit the projects they care about.

XYZ Q1 2026 Quarterly Recap

As 2026 got underway, creators, builders, and organizations across the .xyz community continued to use XYZ Registry domains to launch new ideas, grow their presence, and share their work online. Throughout Q1, we highlighted a diverse range of activity spanning AI, blockchain, gaming, digital identity, and creative projects. Our ongoing blog series and monthly Domains Reports captured key domain trends, notable registrations, aftermarket activity, and developments from ventures building on .xyz and other XYZ Registry domains. Below is a snapshot of key highlights and activity from Q1.

XYZ Registry: Quarterly Anti-Abuse Report

XYZ Registry: Quarterly Anti-Abuse Report

Earlier this quarter, we published our Q4 2025 Anti-Abuse Quarterly Report, which focuses on monitoring and mitigating patterns in abusive use of domains. The report outlines how XYZ Registry evaluates signals such as coordinated activity across domains and repeated patterns of misuse, and how our Anti-Abuse Team reviews data from partners such as Spamhaus and SURBL before taking action.

Our Quarterly Anti-Abuse Reports share highlights from our proactive enforcement efforts. You can explore recent findings and activity in the Q4 2025 Anti-Abuse Quarterly Report, read the introduction on our blog, and learn more about our approach in our Anti-Abuse overview.

At XYZ Registry, maintaining a secure domain space is a core part of our mission. Over the past decade, we have developed an anti-abuse program designed to address evolving threats across our Top Level Domain (TLD) ecosystem. The program focuses on detecting and addressing misuse, including phishing, malware distribution, and spam. XYZ Registry enforces its Anti-Abuse Policy through review of abuse signals and collaboration with industry partners.

To report abuse in any XYZ Registry TLD, submit a ticket at https://gen.xyz/abuse or email [email protected].

To provide greater transparency into our ongoing anti-abuse efforts, XYZ Registry maintains resources designed to offer additional insight and updates. The XYZ Registry Anti-Abuse hub at https://xyz.xyz/abuse serves as a central location for information about monitoring processes, reporting abuse, and actions taken in collaboration with industry partners and law enforcement.

These resources reflect XYZ Registry’s ongoing commitment to a more secure and trusted internet.

Next-generation gaming trends across XYZ Registry domains

The gaming landscape continues to evolve as developers experiment with new technologies, formats, and ways to engage players. In Q1, we highlighted projects using XYZ Registry domains like .xyz and .Game that reflect this ongoing shift. From immersive puzzle experiences and hands-on creation tools to platforms supporting real-world play, these projects demonstrate how creators are expanding what gaming can look like, both on-screen and beyond. Below are some of the gaming projects featured this quarter:

Lumines.Game

Lumines.Game is the online home of Lumines Arise, a rhythm-driven puzzle game and the latest entry in the Lumines series. The game combines falling-block mechanics with music and reactive visual environments that shift as players progress. Lumines Arise is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and PC via Steam. Press coverage notes that the title continues the series’ focus on pairing gameplay with sound and visual design to shape the overall experience.

RetroGadgets.Game is the online home of Retro Gadgets, a video game that places players at a virtual workbench where they can design, build, and program interactive electronic gadgets. According to the game’s press materials, Retro Gadgets centers on hands-on creation, helping players assemble components such as circuit boards, buttons, screens, speakers, and chips, then power their creations through code. The game presents this process in a pixel-art environment that resembles a personal workspace, where players can move between building, testing, and refining their gadgets.

Bounce.Game is the online home of Bounce, a digital platform focused on organizing and supporting real-world racket sports activity, including pickleball, tennis, and padel. According to the company’s LinkedIn overview, Bounce is designed to support coaching, learning, and player development both on and off the court. The platform launched publicly in October 2025 and presents itself as a centralized resource for players and coaches looking to connect around in-person play rather than virtual competition.

Emerging digital projects across the XYZ Registry portfolio

This quarter also highlighted a range of websites built on domains across many XYZ Registry domain endings, illustrating how creators and organizations continue to choose distinctive extensions to shape their online presence. From established businesses to local ventures and growing brands, these examples showcase the versatility of XYZ Registry domains such as .Audio, .Baby, .Flowers, and others. Together, they reflect how a well-matched domain can serve as a clear, memorable foundation for connecting with audiences and bringing ideas to life. Below are some of the websites using XYZ Registry domains featured this quarter:

Austrian.Audio

Austrian.Audio is the online home of Austrian Audio, an audio engineering and product development company based in Vienna, Austria. According to the company, Austrian Audio was founded in July 2017 following the closure of the Vienna offices of AKG, a manufacturer of microphones and headphones for professional and consumer audio use. The initial team included former AKG engineers and staff across acoustics, electronics, mechanical design, RF and wireless, software, and test and measurement. The company develops audio products and technologies, including microphones, headphones, and related acoustic tools, and also holds patents and proprietary technologies used in sectors such as audio, acoustics, transducers, noise canceling, aviation, and telecommunications.

Blossom.Baby is the online home of Blossom Baby and Maternity, a retail store located in Jordan, Minnesota. According to the website, the business offers products for pregnancy, babies, and toddlers, including clothing, toys, gear, and maternity care items. The company states that its product selection includes wooden toys, organic clothing, and natural maternity products. The website also notes that many of the items it carries are selected with an emphasis on products that are purposeful, eco-friendly, and free from harmful chemicals.

Friends.Flowers is the online home of Friend’s Flowers, a flower farm and floral design business based in Story City, Iowa. According to the website, the business grows its own specialty cut flowers and sources traditional wholesale blooms to offer floral arrangements year-round. Friend’s Flowers provides flowers for weddings, events, everyday deliveries, and memorials, serving customers across central Iowa. The operation combines on-farm growing with custom floral design, allowing the team to manage both production and arrangement in-house.

#AIMonday

Artificial intelligence continues to evolve from a standalone focus into a foundational layer across industries, shaping how products are built, workflows are optimized, and ideas are brought to life. Increasingly, AI is being integrated into existing tools, platforms, and creative processes rather than existing as a separate category, reflecting a shift toward more embedded, practical use cases. This evolution is visible across the web, where many AI-driven and AI-enabled projects choose .xyz domains as their online home.

“AI” has remained a leading keyword in newly registered .xyz domains, as highlighted in our monthly XYZ Registry Domains Reports, signaling continued momentum as builders adapt AI to a wide range of applications. Throughout the quarter, our weekly #AIMonday blog series showcased this shift, featuring both organizations and individual practitioners applying AI in diverse and often unexpected ways. Below are a few examples:

AEON.xyz

AEON.xyz is the online home of AEON, a crypto payment platform designed to support payments across blockchain networks and traditional fiat systems. According to the company’s documentation and website, AEON provides payment infrastructure that enables wallets, exchanges, merchants, and platform partners to accept cryptocurrency payments and supports crypto-to-fiat and crypto-to-crypto settlement. The platform is designed to support a range of transaction types, including online purchases and merchant payments, with integrations intended to operate across different regions and payment environments.

Arma.xyz is the online home of Arma, an onchain agent designed to manage stablecoin positions automatically. According to Arma.xyz, the agent monitors lending markets, evaluates yield opportunities, and reallocates funds when projected gains outweigh fees and other costs. Arma is designed to operate through self-custodial smart accounts, meaning assets remain under the user’s control while routine actions such as reallocations and compounding occur without manual intervention.

Axone.xyz is the online home of Axone Protocol, a project developing an orchestration and governance layer for agent-based AI workflows. According to the project’s public materials, Axone is designed to coordinate how AI agents reference resources, follow predefined rules, and settle values during workflow execution. The protocol focuses on describing resources through structured metadata, validating permissions on-chain, and enabling off-chain execution under those rules.

#WebsiteWednesday

Our weekly #WebsiteWednesday series continues to showcase the breadth of projects being developed and shared across the .xyz community. In Q1, we highlighted a diverse mix of websites, from emerging startups and independent creators to teams developing tools and platforms for real-world use. Together, these examples reflect how builders are using .xyz domains to launch, iterate, and grow their presence online. Below are some of the projects we featured this quarter:

Wondermake.xyz

Wondermake.xyz is the online home of Wondermake, a London-based design studio founded in 2023 and operating as a small team within the design services sector. According to the studio’s website, Wondermake focuses on building brands and creating digital sites, products, and games designed to be engaging and playful. The studio works across branding, digital design, product design, and motion, supporting modern brands and businesses through collaborative creative projects.

HandyEntertainment.xyz is the online home of Handy Entertainment, an event entertainment company that frames its work around participation, employment, and community involvement. According to the company’s website, Handy Entertainment “actively advocates for, trains, hires, and mentors historically disadvantaged people, groups, and businesses” as part of how it operates. The company also states that its work creates jobs and training opportunities for people with physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. As described on the website, this approach is intended to show businesses and organizations that creating roles tailored to individuals is possible and can coexist with producing successful events.

IanDreSimon.xyz is the personal website of Ian Simon, a Canadian Filipino filmmaker and commercial director based in Toronto. As shared on his About page, Ian describes himself as a commercial and music video director and editor “familiar with generating narratives that amplify feeling, stunning visuals and rhythmic pacing.” He credits his foundations as a dancer and a lover of music as shaping his sense of visual rhythm and influencing how he approaches storytelling. He works across music videos, short film production, and advertising content. His projects highlight collaborations with recording artists such as Century Sam and Skip Waiters, and brands including Nike, UGG, and Cadillac.

#BlockchainThursday

Each week, our #BlockchainThursday blog series highlights blockchain-focused projects building on .xyz domains. In Q1, we featured a range of initiatives spanning web3 development, infrastructure, and investment, reflecting how the space continues to mature and expand. From foundational tooling to emerging protocols and platforms, these projects demonstrate the evolving ways teams are applying decentralized technologies and using .xyz to support their work. Below are some of the examples featured this quarter:

EV.xyz

EV.xyz is the online home of Evolve, a launch stack designed to help developers deploy custom blockchain networks without running validators or managing token-based incentives. According to the website, the platform is built to support modular network design while remaining production-ready from the start. Evolve provides developers with direct control over execution and network configuration, rather than relying on shared environments or third-party intermediaries. The stack is designed to support custom virtual machines and execution logic, allowing teams to shape networks around their specific application requirements.

JoinBond.xyz is the online home of Bond, a platform designed to support new types of relationships between creators and their audiences. According to JoinBond.xyz, users can “bond” money to a creator through a one-time, refundable deposit. The creator receives interest generated from the pooled funds while the principal remains withdrawable. The platform describes this approach as sitting between a follow and a subscription, offering a way to signal support, unlock access, and participate without recurring payments.

dYdX.xyz is the online home of dYdX, a decentralized trading platform focused on crypto derivatives, which are financial contracts that track the price of digital assets rather than the assets themselves. According to the website, the platform supports perpetual contracts, a type of derivative that does not have an expiration date, through a non-custodial interface that helps users retain control of their assets while interacting with onchain markets. dYdX.xyz serves as the primary access point for traders engaging with the protocol’s markets and related trading features.

DylanWade.xyz

“When choosing .xyz, I just loved the sound and felt it made so much sense over the typical .com. I’d also seen a few friends and various projects in the web3 space using it, which then led me to feel it was a modern alternative.
