Daniel一直都是一个勇敢的创业者。在他12岁的那年,他建立了自己的第一个公司,很快学会了如何拥有一个强大的网络存在度。Daniel在少年的时候就对域名产生兴趣,而逐步将这个早期兴趣带进了他的职业生涯。
Daniel毕业于南加州大学。在学校里,他获得了很多奖励,包括南加大科技技术奖和人脉关系奖。
Sumi Lee (李秀美)是我们XYZ最新的成员也是我们的国际政策与参与总监。她从ICANN合规部门来,专门负责亚太区,在洛杉矶和新加坡都有多年经验。
在ICANN的时候,Sumi率先推广和培训韩国、新加坡和中国地区并用她多年的知识作为域名注册和商标侵权纠纷的专家。她还为新顶级域名 (gTLD)提供关键的政策,合同执行和遵守ICANN相关分析的政策。

Hope everyone had a great Labour Day weekend! In honor of your hard work, we wanted to recap all of the efforts put forth into China over the past year and a half. As the CEO of XYZ, I want to share with our stakeholders, partners and all of our dedicated supporters of my commitment to China. I have sought out and brought on board an amazing group to focus their efforts on providing our Chinese supporters with the excellence in service and partnership with language skills in Mandarin and Korean, as well as their specialized knowledge and experience in the APAC region.

Efforts Made by XYZ in China To Date
For a quick update: we formed our Chinese business entity with a local office in Beijing, acquired our Chinese business license, and our local TLD management system is currently undergoing testing by ICANN. We have submitted applications for all of our TLDs for accreditation and are in the final stages of the approval process. Once approved, the next generation of internet users will be able to host their creative, beautiful .xyz websites in China!
XYZ Going to China in May!
Daniel Negari, our Chief Executive Officer and his APAC team are going to China this month to meet with some of our registrars and technical back-end partners to plan for .xyz’s future in Asia and shake hands with our partners face-to-face. We are planning multiple trips to China, so this won’t be the only time!
Meet the XYZ Team
We would also like to take this opportunity to introduce our Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Negari , whom many of you already know, as well as some of the dedicated team members at XYZ whose main focus is the Asia-Pacific region.
Daniel Negari is the CEO of XYZ. With offices in Santa Monica and Las Vegas, Daniel and Team XYZ aim to bring competition, choice, accessibility, and innovation to the internet with the new domain extensions .xyz / .College / .Rent / .Security / .Protection / .Theatre / .Cars /.Car / .Auto.
Daniel has always been an entrepreneur and risk taker. He started his first business when he was 12 years old and quickly learned the importance of having a strong web presence. Daniel took an early interest in domain names as a teenager, and this passion carried over to his professional career.
Daniel graduated from the University of Southern California, where he received several prestigious distinctions, including the USC Technology Scholar Award and USC Networking Award.
Sumi Lee is our newest member and is the Director of Global Policy and Engagement. She comes to us from ICANN Contractual Compliance, having worked in the Los Angeles hub and most recently in Singapore, focusing on the APAC region.
While at ICANN, Sumi spearheaded outreach/training for APAC hub stakeholders in S. Korea, Singapore, and China, and lent her expertise and knowledge as the subject matter expert in the registry space and trademark infringement dispute resolution matters. She also provided key policy and compliance related analysis in development of ICANN consensus policies for the new generic top level domains (gTLD) program, policies and contract enforcement.
Sumi has an extensive background as an attorney with a dedication to public service. She began in civil litigation, with experience in state, federal and appellate courts. She later moved on to criminal defense as a government appointed lawyer, working for Riverside County Public Defender’s Office and Los Angeles County Alternate Public Defender’s Office. During her seven years as a public defender, she litigated numerous jury trials.
Sumi was born in Seoul, South Korea, but moved to Hawaii when she was four and a half years old. She graduated from Mills College – the oldest all women’s college in California – with a summa cum laude Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and attended JFK Law School in Northern California.
Sumi is proficient in Korean, has a knack for cooking (especially spicy food), and loves to travel to Southeast Asia and tropical destinations where she enjoys scuba diving and snorkeling.
Yungsheng Wang is the Business Development Manager for the Asia Pacific region, and comes to us from ICANN where he worked for over three years in the Contractual Compliance Department, specializing in the Asian Pacific region. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in East Asian Languages and Literatures and Environmental and Evolutionary Biology. He wrote his senior thesis on the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai. His favorite quote is from Li Bai’s 春夜宴從弟桃花園序: “而浮生若夢,為歡幾何” He also has a Master’s Degree from Yale University in Chinese literature and received his J.D.from the University of Southern California School of Law. After law school, Yungsheng went on to practice corporate and securities law and securities litigation with a boutique law firm. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and can read and write both Simplified and Traditional Chinese Characters. In his spare time, he loves reading arcane Chinese poetry, English novels (one a week) and taking his adorable Shiba Inu puppy on long adventures.
Alice Zhu is the Account Manager for Asia Pacific region. Her main responsibilities include maintaining relationships with APAC registrars, generating growth, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring the execution of all marketing campaigns. Alice came from the Electronic Consumer Industry where she gained strong experience in Project Management and Operations. She graduated from UC Riverside with a degree in Business Management and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. Alice was born in Beijing and moved to the United States at the age of 9. She grew up in San Jose, California, but moved to Los Angeles to attend college and has lived there ever since. She loves exploring new spots and traveling around the world – her bucket list includes visiting every city in China (she travels back to China almost every year). She is fluent in Mandarin。
