Efforts Made by XYZ in China To Date

For a quick update: we formed our Chinese business entity with a local office in Beijing, acquired our Chinese business license, and our local TLD management system is currently undergoing testing by ICANN.  We have submitted applications for all of our TLDs for accreditation and are in the final stages of the approval process. Once approved, the next generation of internet users will be able to host their creative, beautiful .xyz websites in China!

XYZ Going to China in May!

Daniel Negari, our Chief Executive Officer and his APAC team are going to China this month to meet with some of our registrars and technical back-end partners to plan for .xyz’s future in Asia and shake hands with our partners face-to-face.  We are planning multiple trips to China, so this won’t be the only time!

Meet the XYZ Team

We would also like to take this opportunity to introduce our Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Negari , whom many of you already know, as well as some of the dedicated team members at XYZ whose main focus is the Asia-Pacific region.

Daniel has always been an entrepreneur and risk taker. He started his first business when he was 12 years old and quickly learned the importance of having a strong web presence. Daniel took an early interest in domain names as a teenager, and this passion carried over to his professional career.

Daniel graduated from the University of Southern California, where he received several prestigious distinctions, including the USC Technology Scholar Award and USC Networking Award.

Sumi has an extensive background as an attorney with a dedication  to public service.  She began in civil litigation, with experience in state, federal and appellate courts.  She later moved on to criminal defense as a government appointed lawyer, working for Riverside County Public Defender’s Office and Los Angeles County Alternate Public Defender’s Office. During her seven years as a public defender, she litigated numerous jury trials.

Sumi was born in Seoul, South Korea, but moved to Hawaii when she was four and a half years old.  She graduated from Mills College – the oldest all women’s college in California – with a summa cum laude Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and attended JFK Law School in Northern California.
