- What it is: Perceptrons.xyz is the online home of the Perceptron Network, a decentralized data network designed to pay contributors to help source data for AI training, via a node network and a “Data Questing Platform.”
- Why: Perceptron is built around a challenge facing AI training: sourcing specialized, real-world datasets quickly and at scale, without relying solely on centralized scraping infrastructure. On X, Perceptron has described its approach as designed so “human intelligence adds meaning to data, not just labels,” connecting AI companies with distributed contributors who provide context and validation alongside raw data.
- Expansion: Perceptron Network expanded through a June 2025 merger with BlockMesh, bringing BlockMesh’s global node network into the platform.
- Perceptron reported 800,000+ nodes distributed across 150+ countries.
- As of a July 30, 2026 funding announcement, Perceptron’s network had grown to more than 300,000 daily active users.
- How contributors earn: Share idle bandwidth through Perceptron Nodes, or complete “quests” (feedback, annotation, expertise) for PERC tokens and reputation points.
