In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to an innovative Web3 social networking platform aimed to make crypto investments more transparent: Prysm.xyz.
Prysm.xyz is a Web3 platform that raised $3 million to launch the public beta of their new social investing network.1 Users of the platform can look for crypto investment opportunities by following verified investors and seeing what they’re investing in. Prysm.xyz helps potential investors meet new people in the crypto space, connect with verified investors, and find new opportunities. Users can follow other members and then view their cryptocurrency and NFT transactions unfold on their feeds.
Profiles on Prysm.xyz are backed by on-chain track records which help you to verify the track records of “experts.” Users can connect their crypto wallet to follow each other’s profiles and receive a live feed of all on-chain investment transactions. Social feeds derived from crypto wallet activity can help users to view the investment activities of their friends and crypto influencers, and share in potentially lucrative opportunities. In addition to viewing the social feed, you can also view anyone’s profile page to see an overview of all of their transactions and their NFT and crypto ERC20 token holdings. Supporting the platform’s goal of transparency, you can also check out a user’s entire history of transaction posts, which you can sort by crypto ERC20 token transactions, NFT transactions, or both. ERC20 transactions include profitable token trades, percent of trades that were profitable, and an average rate of returns. NFT transactions include positive NFT resales and total number of a user’s minted NFTs.
Excited users have been sharing their profiles on Twitter (similar to the profile sharing demonstrated by crypto publishing platform Mirror.xyz users). Most use a standard “Peep this profile @prysm_xyz” message, which includes a link to their profile for easy access to their overview.
Prysm.xyz is co-founded by former financial strategy manager Thomas Scaria and software engineer Shelby Thomas.
