Introducing Lisa White, Australia-based book designer

LisaWhite.xyz is the personal website of Australia-based book designer Lisa White. Lisa worked for several prominent publishers before becoming a freelance Book Designer. She spent time in-house at Scholastic, worked for a decade at Allen & Unwin, and most recently held the position of Head of Design for HarperCollins Australia and their imprint, ABC Books.1 Throughout her career, Lisa has worked on a diverse range of projects including commercial and literary fiction, non-fiction, children’s, young adult, and illustrated titles. As a freelance book designer, Lisa continues to work with authors and publishers to create high-quality book covers and interior layouts.

For instance, the cover image for Ben Folds’ memoir, “A Dream About Lightning Bugs,” leads to a page with a larger version of the book cover, and includes details such as the publisher (Simon & Schuster Australia) and Lisa’s design and illustration credits.
