In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to a highly trained artist who displays his independent and commercial artwork using a “” domain: is the personal website of London-based artist Adam Latham. Adam earned a Masters of Arts in Painting at London’s Royal College of Art, but in recent years he has been focusing on illustration. As he shares on his Bio page, Adam has held an interest in the intersection of graphic and fine art, and aims to “play on ideas of taste and grandiosity to explore this meeting point.” Adam creates imagery that explores themes of exoticism, and takes inspiration from various cultural sources such as natural history illustration, auction house photography, mid-20th century kitsch, and colonial anthropology.

Adam’s artwork and business projects are neatly organized for visitors to easily navigate, which can aid in his efforts to attract collaborators and clients. The colorful homepage is full of Adam’s artwork displayed in a grid formation for easy viewing. There are links to see his artwork by category, such as Paintings and Posters. On the Paintings page, you can see a boldly colored painting of a woman whose skin is painted blue, wearing a flowy leopard print top adorned with some flowers. She is eating a bag of chips, labeled “Scampi Flavour Fries.” Over on the GIFs page, you can find an assortment of artistic animated GIFs that Adam created, including one of five brightly colored Poison Dart frogs on a bed of vibrant stones that change color. Visitors can take a look at Adam’s EIEO Ltd page, which details the publishing project he established in 2022 with longtime friend and writer Rich Wilson. Their collaboration on record cover art for Rich’s band and their new experiences in parenthood developed into a partnership focused on producing their own children’s literature. EIEO’s first publication, titled Horse & Donkey, is described as “a timely tale for a young audience about friendship, insecurities and comparing yourself to others.” On the Commercial Work page, visitors can learn that Adam has also been hired to work on professional projects such as the packaging design for a coffee brand and the movie poster for documentary film Washed by the Moon. Adam’s choice to display his artwork and business projects together on provides visitors with the opportunity to experience a wide sampling of his accomplishments all in one place. This simplified navigation makes it easy for visitors to get a strong sense of Adam’s talents and help them consider him for a collaboration.

Using a domain like for your personal website can be beneficial, because Adam is not limited by any third-party platform constraints. He can use his website as the hub of his art and illustration services, and maintain complete control over how he presents his work. For Adam, the decision to choose .xyz was an easy one. As he told us,

“I chose .xyz for my artwork website as for me it was a perfectly logical and easy to remember domain suffix. It also sounds pretty cool.”
