In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to a saxophonist who shares his accomplishments on a “” domain: is the personal website of Evan Clark, an accomplished saxophonist, researcher, and educator. His solo performances, ensemble tours, and various research projects have taken him throughout the United States, France, Germany, China, and Thailand. Evan earned his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he studied with notable classical saxophonist Debra Richtmeyer. As an educator, Evan has given lectures and masterclasses at schools throughout the United States including the Manhattan School of Music, Rutgers University, and the University of Nebraska. Evan demonstrates his talent in various music competitions, including the Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) Solo Woodwind Competition, the International Saxophone Symposium and Competition (ISSAC), and the Lagrange Symphony Orchestra Competition. He won first prize in the 2020 American Protégé International Competition1 and made his Carnegie Hall solo debut in New York City during the 2021 season.

Evan’s media, biography, and teaching resources are easy to explore with a simple and informative website design. Visitors can easily navigate to each page, which can help make Evan’s featured content easy to find. Head over to the Audio option under the Media menu to listen to Evan’s featured saxophone performances, such as “Improvisation et Caprice (1952)” and “Italian Concerto, BWV. 971 (1735).” You can hover over the “Projects” menu option to learn more about research projects such as Bolcom’s Lilith. Evan provides a description of the project, which investigates the musical constructions of gender and sexuality in Lilith (1984) for alto saxophone and piano by William Bolcom. He also includes YouTube videos of performances that contribute to the project. Evan’s teaching page includes an option to reach out to him for saxophone lessons, a masterclass, or a middle/high school clinic. He also provides resources in music education. He shares that his goal is to “help my students access the mental focus, physical ability and emotional capacity required in the learning and synthesis of music performance in classical and jazz traditions.” With Evan’s inclusion of his Repertoire page, visitors can see a full list of Evan’s performance experience, which can help them understand his range.

Using a domain like for your personal website can be beneficial, because Evan is not limited by any third-party platform constraints. He can use his website as the hub of his media clips and educational resources, and maintain complete control over how he presents the information. We are happy to have the accomplished Evan Clark in the .xyz community. You can learn more about Evan by visiting
