A Listserv is a method of communicating with a group of people through email. You can send one email message to the main email address, and the managing software then sends the email to all of the group’s subscribers. There are lists where only the list owner can send a message, and there are also discussion groups, where any subscriber can post a message. The managing software handles subscriptions, email bounces, and delivery of email messages to very large groups of people. StudyHall.xyz is an example of a Listserv community that can help you implement this tip.
The Study Hall Listserv is an independent media outlet and online support network for media professionals. Marketplace platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and Etsy can help facilitate the display and distribution of your work through a central directory. These platforms can also help your website gain valuable exposure to fellow creatives and supporters. You can reach out to various marketplace platforms to review their guidelines and membership details, including potential membership fees. Once you join the platform, you can develop your own creator page on the platform, where you can display your work with as much relevant background information and product details as you can provide, including a link to your personal website.
Joining an online marketplace helps you to showcase your work to a global audience of users who can purchase and support your work, while the website facilitates the purchasing or sharing of your work. Marketplace platforms provide a virtual storefront to display your designs, and your participation can earn widespread, global visibility
FutureFonts.xyz is an example of a marketplace platform where you can share and showcase your work. FutureFonts.xyz is a font foundry where font designers can share designs and draw inspiration from fellow creatives. Users can download fonts for affordable prices, and some even welcome users to simply contribute what they can. Each contributor has their own profile page where they can display a personal website, photo, and location, such as France-based Pauline Fourest and her design studio Spaghetype. Users can leave comments on each font’s page, like the comments left on font design “Mayonnaise“.
Joining a marketplace platform can help your website gain valuable exposure to fellow creatives and supporters.
Competition-based platforms can help you demonstrate your skills for a wide network of potential clients and collaborators and attract attention to your personal website. Competitions can require good communication, foster collaboration, and promote teamwork. They tend to encourage growth and skill development. While competing, we are assessing the other competitors and evaluating our own skill level. Competition-based platforms facilitate competitions that may be open to the community of users. They can be hosted or sponsored by a client, who will then select the winner based on their specifications. Participants compete to win, which can lead to further opportunities with the host of the competition, or perhaps from other users who have been exposed to your incredible skill.
Uni.xyz is an example of a website that can help you pursue competitions to demonstrate and develop your skills. The platform is a community created for designers, by designers, that provides opportunities for its members to showcase their skills, find clients, and collaborate on design challenges. The competitions provide designers a chance to propose their work to potential clients and mentors. They also give designers the ability to collaborate with other professionals to share ideas and solve challenges as a team. It is a mutually beneficial relationship, as clients benefit by getting a first-hand look at highly talented individuals and teams ready to take on new work. Users can set up a profile page where they can link to social profiles on other platforms as well as upload content ranging from videos, blogs, podcasts, articles, illustrations, and images. There are separate sections for projects, where other users can leave comments, facilitating conversation between fellow members. Uni.xyz posts the winner, runner-up, and “editor’s choice” of each competition on the platform, creating great exposure to the community of users.
Joining a competition-based platform helps you to demonstrate your skill set for potential clients and collaborators, gain visibility to your website, and be part of a community of inspiring design professionals who can further develop your skills.
Teaching about your knowledge to others can help develop your authority. Applying to teach on a digital education platform opens you and your personal website up to a global audience and provides the opportunity to learn from others in the same community. You can use these educational platforms to record and share live classes, upload presentation videos, and provide accompanying learning materials to interested students who enroll in your class. Every Wednesday we proudly feature a #WebsiteWednesday spotlight on a creative and innovative member of the .xyz community. Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology developers are loving .xyz domains – and we are loving them right back – so we featured a variety of blockchain-focused end-users this quarter.

Readymag is a website builder focusing on landing pages, editorials, portfolios, and general websites. Through our new, continuing partnership, we’ve been able to begin supporting multiple Readymag customers as they develop their online presence with .xyz domains. For the past four years, XYZ has proudly been a domain industry cycling jersey sponsor for Elliot Silver of DomainInvesting.com and his riding partner John Berryhill on their annual 80-mile charity bike ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge. XYZ was once again the lead jersey sponsor for the 2021 event, and we were proud to donate to such a great cause. As shared on Elliot’s blog, the Pan-Mass Challenge has raised $767 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Through our ongoing partnership with Generation Girl, we proudly supported their 2021 Summer Club program, and provided .xyz domains for the young students enrolled to develop their newfound interests and share their innovative ideas with the world. During this year’s Summer Club, the participants were trained in Computer Science 101, UI/UX Design, Game Design, Data Science, and more.
In partnership with Ethereum that began in 2018, we helped pioneer the joint solution to provide a memorable wallet address to replace the long Ethereum hash. For example, Ethereum users can walletname.xyz to reference their wallet instead of 0xf7004095d2d81fe3b5937241c106aace6d6e8e4a. This makes it much easier to send and receive digital tokens like cryptocurrency and NFTs. Our successful partnership and the hard work of ENS has led to the August announcement that ENS/DNS has expanded to hundreds of additional domains.

The .xyz community is growing with decentralized finance solutions, cryptocurrency tools, and investment platforms, as blockchain innovations continue developing worldwide. Crypto wallet Monolith.xyz aims to make it easier for users to buy, store, and spend their cryptocurrency in the real world. NFT-focused FlamingoDAO.xyz created a platform for investing in blockchain-based assets. In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to a community-driven launchpad aimed to connect investors with inventors of projects based on a choice of seven different blockchains: Starter.xyz.
Starter.xyz is a community-oriented decentralized launchpad for innovative blockchain-based projects. The Starter.xyz platform is unique for its multi-chain ecosystem, which means the platform supports project launches on seven different blockchains (Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Cardano, Solana, Polygon, Fantom, and, most recently, Avalanche). Members can connect their wallet from either of those blockchains for purchasing and storing the platform’s native $START token.
The $START token functions as a means of exchange, store of value, and a unit of measurement inside the Starter.xyz ecosystem. The total supply of $START is 1,000,000 tokens. Out of this total supply, 850,139 tokens are already in circulation. The current market price of $START (as of September 1, 2021) is $6.91. The $START token also provides the power to vote for projects to be launched on the platform.
Starter.xyz uniquely provides projects access to funding opportunities without common obstacles such as complex Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. (KYC requirements help financial institutions to “know their customer,” stay compliant, and add value to the banking experience for their customers.) Starter.xyz allows developers to submit their projects directly to the platform’s community for review. After review, the community will come together to vote and decide on which projects will be listed. Every community member is required to perform their own due diligence and research before voting for projects to be listed. Every project receives an equal chance to access investment funding, and investors can quickly identify and invest in legitimate projects that meet their requirements.
Successful project launches include crypto lending platform Yamp Finance, gaming-focused social platform Wasder, and investment platform Wall Street Bets. The platform is launching projects that combine two popular utilities of 2021: decentralized finance (DeFi) and iGaming. This combination has resulted in a new term known as Gamified Finance, or GameFi. In September, Starter.xyz announced that Starchi, their first DeFi game, inspired by nostalgia for the original Tamagotchi, was awarded a grant from the Polygon Foundation. Within the game, players are tasked with acquiring and nurturing adoptable digital pets called Starchis from infancy to adulthood. Players are responsible for preventing further extinction of Starchi through friendly battles that allow them to socialize their digital pets and earn wages to become top collectors in the Starchi village. At the end of August, the community voted to list a first of its kind project called BUSTA. BUSTA is the first GameFi project built on the Binance Smart Chain. This jackpot game will also feature a trading and betting module as well as their own Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), which will allow the BUSTA community to control most of the ecosystem.

SuperstarX.xyz is a multimedia collective aimed at destigmatizing and celebrating our differences, with a goal of connection and eradicating oppression. They aim to support their goals through the production of art, film, music, and fashion. SuperstarX.xyz shares the work of their collective through the following channels:
SuperstarX.xyz donates 10% of proceeds from these channels towards wellness initiatives, programs, and organizations. The most recent issue of SXM was released in August 2021 and 10% of all proceeds will be donated to On Canada Project, an organization that aims to mobilize millennials and members of Generation Z to create change.
Nicole M. Weatherly founded SuperstarX.xyz in 2017 after drawing inspiration from her younger brother, Edward. According to The X Story page, in 1999, at the age of 23, Edward was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Nicole took inspiration from Edward’s health journey and his development of unique artwork. She also looked to her own experience of “different” after coming out as a lesbian. She formed the collective to celebrate being human and destigmatizing being so called “different,” through the co-creation of art, film, music, and fashion in support of multidimensional wellness. Multidimensional wellness integrates numerous interrelated domains (physical, social, emotional, spiritual, occupational) holistically.
Throughout the website, SuperstarX.xyz uses terms like “multidimxnsional” and “humxn,” which have a purposeful spelling with the letter “X.” As shared on their Story page, after Edward was hospitalized he began drawing colourful aliens, such as his first drawing, entitled “X.” Nicole is supportive of Edward’s art, considering it a “special medium to share with the world to help inspire greater awareness, understanding, and acceptance of ‘different,’ celebrating all of what makes us ‘humxn.’”
This celebration of uniqueness and authenticity is reflected in SuperstarX.xyz’s selection of artists for the collective, known as X Artists. The website explains that “X Artists are socially vulnerable and/or those who are (or have been) racialized, stigmatized, ostracized, marginalized, bullied, and/or excluded for being “different.” After an artist joins the collective, the X Team begins a collaboration process to co-create a mutually beneficial and sustainable path forward, including multimedia artwork through the Superstar X Magazine or shoppable products for The X Shop.

Serwah.xyz – Network Solutions customer – (Australia)
The .xyz community is home to many visual creatives and digital artists using .xyz to further their career and showcase their work. Visual effects specialist ChristopherKerr.xyz showcases his professional film and television experience. Vienna-based artist and researcher AleydaRocha.xyz displays engaging and interactive art that accompanies her scientific research projects. Experienced filmmaker SarahKuck.xyz shares multimedia content from her extensive career in a well-organized digital portfolio. In this week’s #WebsiteWednesday, we’ll introduce you to an accomplished creative who displays her oil paintings and 3D digital art on a personal website with a memorable “first name” .xyz domain: Serwah.xyz.
Serwah.xyz is the online portfolio of West Sydney, Australia-based digital artist Serwah Attafuah. Serwah is an oil painter and self taught digital artist. Her surreal cyber dreamscapes and other beautiful visuals are capturing the attention of the digital art world. A 2021 article in The Fashion Law titled “Non-Fungible Tokens Are Here to Stay: How Can Technology Law Harness Them?” references Serwah as one of the first Australian artists to sell an NFT (a piece titled “Voidwalker”). The article discusses how the NFT is programmed so that Serwah will automatically get 10% of the sale price any time the artwork is re-sold.
In a video shared by Sotheby’s, Serwah discusses her background as a digital artist and musician based in Australia. In 2013, after predominantly creating with oil paints, she started working in 3D art. She began creating surreal cyber dreamscapes that illustrate the contrast between the digital and physical worlds. Creation of My Metaverse (Between this World and the Next), her piece for the Sotheby’s collection, contains imagery of a fallen ancient world, grounded planets, and carved stone pillars, all juxtaposed with two figures in the pose from Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam. As she explains in the video, someone had expressed to her that she is presenting her own definitive metaverse. A friend indicated that she presents herself as a God of that metaverse, where she makes up the rules.
Serwah’s rise to success could be traced to her early NFT sales on Foundation, a popular platform that hosts live auctions for NFTs. In March 2021, she was commissioned by Nike and JD Sports Australia to create assets for the Air Max Day 2021 hub, but she first found herself at the center of the global NFT conversation due to her sales of “Voidwalker” and “Consensual Hallucinations” on Foundation. “Consensual Hallucinations” sold for 10 ETH (approximately $27k at the time), which is quite significant for one of an artist’s first sales. This led to her being selected to be part of Sotheby’s curated NFT collection, Natively Digital: A Curated NFT Sale. One month later, in time for Pride Month, she collaborated on an animated audio NFT with Charli XCX. The NFT was featured as part of a collection on Nifty Gateway, a popular NFT platform. Proceeds from the collection were donated to benefit Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). After that, she had three pieces of art featured in a GQ article titled “How to Design a Better Body.”
On her Paintings page, you can see how Serwah’s interests and themes began in one medium and carried over to her digital creations. “Civic Park” 2015 is an oil painting described as an homage to Jesse Edwards (an American artist known primarily for his still life oil paintings). A lighter, a Smurf figurine, a can of spray paint, and a Mountain Dew bottle accompany a singular Nike sneaker in the modern day still life painting. This earlier piece somewhat foreshadows her future collaborative work with Nike. In “Decay” 2015, which Serwah created with acrylic, enamel and oil paints on canvas board, you can see her interest in creating mind-bending visuals, later seen in her work “Consensual Hallucinations 2020,” also displayed on her homepage, in which an ornately adorned, golden female is surrounded by tropical fish.
The Serwah.xyz domain is branded with Serwah’s unique, short, and memorable first name. On Serwah’s Contact page, she provides her email address for commissions, collaborations and inquiries. There is great benefit to a branded email address like [email protected]. A lot of her work-related communication will likely be conducted over email, so it’s a great idea to use a custom email address that can generate trust. An email address that ends in the same domain as your website can appear more professional by verifying that the owner of the website and the owner of the email are the same person. Using your domain name to create custom, branded email addresses connects all of your company representatives and public contact emails with your website.
