Happy 2014, #GenXYZ – the big year is here!
We started the year off with a bang, not only attending NamesCon (the biggest conference in the domain industry), but also hosting the massive NamesCon.xyz kick-off party — huge turnout, huge success! Catch a glimpse of what went down in Vegas by checking out the photos at XYZ.COM/namescon.
The party definitely set the tone for the following two days, where we had great meetings with all the registrars who attended. Most importantly, we officially announced our launch date!

.xyz will be launching globally in MARCH 2014! That means if you’re a trademark holder who registered through the Trademark Clearinghouse, you can register your .xyz domain names starting in March during our Sunrise period. Keep up-to-date with more launch news by following us on Twitter @XYZ.
Because of all this excitement, there’s been much buzz in the media about .xyz. Quartz featured a great overview piece on the upcoming domain expansion, and highlighted yours truly, .xyz, as an extension to look out for.
Founder Daniel Negari also chatted with the folks at TheDomains about his bold move to team up with NameJet to auction off premium .xyz and .College domains, and also sat down with Hexonet, where he shared exciting news about the XYZ Early Access Program and why we’re gaining strong interest from China and other emerging markets.

Big, big news, #GenXYZ!
We’re happy to announce that .xyz Founder Daniel Negari and ICANN officially executed our Registry Agreement this week! This means we’re one huge step closer to launching the most flexible, memorable, and affordable domain names on the planet next year.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to have a three-letter Twitter handle, we can tell you firsthand that it’s awesome. That’s because we just scored @xyz. Same great tweets and breaking news, just a new and improved name. Be sure to follow our new account so you don’t miss out on our upcoming promotions and announcements.
One last thing – we’ve been talking with some media outlets and expect a few great articles to be published in the next few days. Keep an eye out for them because they’re sure to generate a lot of buzz!

#GenXYZ, we have some awesome news to share.
We have teamed up with the top domain auction company on the web, NameJet.com, to offer .xyz and .College domain names for the first time ever in a groundbreaking new domain extension auction! This is literally the first-of-its-kind auction for any new domain extension, so we’re thrilled to be a part of this historic moment. The premium domain auctions began on November 6th, 2013 and will continue through February 28th, 2014. You might remember that NameJet will also be helping us in our Sunrise and Landrush periods, too. For more information about the auction event, check out NameJet’s press release.
So what sort of domain names can you get? For those interested in a .xyz domain, there are options like pubs.xyz, autos.xyz, and even london.xyz. .College domains include grants.college, travel.college, jobs.college, and more. These are just a sample of some of the domains we’ll be offering, but the full list can be viewed on our Featured Auction page.

Happy belated Halloween, #GenXYZ! We are very excited to make two HUGE announcements. Hold on tight.
First, .xyz Founder Daniel Negari has acquired a new 13,000 square-foot office building in Las Vegas, Nevada, that will serve as our new headquarters. The building, which will be called the XYZHAUS, will employ approximately 100 people to perform marketing, support, legal, and other services for .xyz and .College with the goal of bringing choice, affordability, and innovation to the internet. We’re also very happy to announce that .xyz is now officially in Africa! You heard right; Team XYZ has been working diligently with Web4Africa to become the first new domain extension to be carried by the African registrar. You can now visit our new .xyz landing page directly from their homepage, or check out our awesome placement on their domain name page. We’re thrilled to be the first domain extension to have the kind of presence that we do on Web4Africa’s site, and even happier to be partnering with them to bring greater awareness and access to the world.
