Untitled.xyz is the online home of “untitled, xyz,” the personal website of Brooklyn-based artist and virtual architect Kirk Finkel. A virtual architect focuses on designing and creating virtual environments, often within digital or virtual worlds. As Kirk shares on his About page, his work investigates metaverse architecture through modular design concepts with a focus on virtual art galleries. Kirk is the Director of Architecture at the Museum of Crypto Art, a Metaverse-based art museum. Previously, Kirk co-founded Sndbox, a blockchain-focused design lab, and served as Creative Director.

It’s designed for outfitting with digital art and streaming into metaverse applications. Visitors can select any image to explore it virtually via desktop, mobile or Hyperfy VR. Hyperfy is a tool for the metaverse that allows you to own, create, and exchange entire virtual worlds. These worlds are stored on the Ethereum blockchain and are available for purchase or sale by users. Next to the SOCIAL category, visitors can find links to each of Kirk’s social media profiles.
Visitors can also visit Kirk’s blog page, which shares his journey from working in architecture to exploring cryptocurrencies and their impact on art creation. He discusses how the Steem blockchain inspired him to create SteemTown, a community art project where people contributed to a virtual town’s design using blockchain technology. Over time, this project evolved into BlockTown, which emphasized modularity and community involvement. Kirk also highlights how he and his colleague, Michael Lee, used cryptocurrency to fund real-world community projects like Steem Park. Ultimately, their experiences led to the creation of Sndbox, and the Creative Crypto blog, where they collaborated with artists and explored Ethereum’s creative possibilities.
