The system can integrate with digital audio workstations and mixing consoles through protocols such as OSC, VST3, and Max for Live, allowing sound professionals to incorporate spatial tools without disrupting existing workflows.
According to media reports and LinkedIn, Holophonix is founded by Gaëtan Byk, who also serves as CEO and owner. Before launching Holophonix as an independent company, Gaëtan spent over a decade at Amadeus, where he continues as CEO. The leadership team also includes Thierry Coduys, Creative Engineering Manager and co-founder, and Dr. Adrien Zanni, Chief Technical Officer. Thierry is described as a pioneer in immersive sound and digital arts, with a career spanning three decades and collaborations with artists such as Luciano Berio and Frank Zappa. Adrien, whose doctoral research at Université Paris 8 focused on spatial sound composition, connects academic theory with practical implementation in live and installation contexts. Together, they lead a multidisciplinary team that merges engineering, acoustics, and artistic exploration.2

“We design a spatial sound software dedicated to 3D audio creation, simulation, and reproduction. The name Holophonix comes from the idea of creating holographic sound — sound that can be shaped and positioned anywhere in space with precision and emotion. In that sense, the .xyz domain felt like a natural extension of our identity. In our software, sound sources are placed and moved within a Cartesian coordinate system — X, Y, and Z — representing the three spatial dimensions of our audio engine. Choosing .xyz was therefore both symbolic and technical: it mirrors the very system we use to build spatial experiences. Beyond its technical meaning, .xyz also embodies creativity, modernity, and openness — values that align perfectly with what we strive to express through Holophonix.”
