On this fine Wednesday, we have a special update for you, #GenXYZ! As you know, without each and every one of you building eye-catching sites, representing your unique self with a .xyz email address, or even taking advantage of .xyz as a URL shortener, the #GenXYZ community would not be as large, innovative, or diverse as what it’s become today.
To celebrate your amazing creations, we revamped the #GenXYZ page on our website to show a glimpse of what’s out there and what this growing community is all about. A little XYZ show-and-tell window, if you will :)
So hop on over to gen.xyz/genxyz and browse through some of our favorite .xyz sites. With so many to highlight, it’s hard to believe that .xyz domains weren’t even globally available this time last year!
What do you think, #GenXYZ? Think YOUR .xyz website should be featured on gen.xyz/genxyz? Let us know by following and tweeting us @xyz. We’re excited to hear from you!
We’ve teamed-up with another industry leader, Uniregistry, to join forces and launch .Cars, .Car, and .Auto!
Hot off of the press, Uniregistry and Team XYZ issued a press release today, announcing the highly coveted trifecta of new domain extensions that will represent the automotive industry. This trifecta was completed when our team successfully acquired .Car from the tech giant themselves – Google!
Just like .xyz, .College, and .Rent, our mission is to give everyone choice when building their online presence. So whether you’re a car enthusiast, a dealership owner, an auctioneer, or part of the automotive supply chain, you now have namespaces to express your passions online.
Check out www.nic.cars for a glimpse into the newest addition to the XYZ family, coming to you in Q4 of this year.
You can also learn more about .Cars, .Car, .Auto, and Cars Registry Limited in this morning’s press release:

Who caught the awesomely quirky article on .xyz in the April issue of Wired Magazine? ICYMI, check out the article below, boldly titled “The battle to make .xyz the next .com.”
We can assure you that it’s a great read – and an excellent way to test your acronym knowledge!
The hilarious, ever-popular HBO series that captures startup culture, Silicon Valley, hit an all-time high last night with 2.1 million viewers. Are you a Silicon Valley fan?
If you are, then you already know. (And if you are but haven’t caught-up on last night’s episode, spoiler alert!)
For a little bit of background, Silicon Valley is a comedy series that takes a satirical look at the tech industry and startup culture. The main storyline involves the dynamic between Pied Piper, an up-and-coming underdog startup with an amazing product, and Hooli, a Google or Oracle-like tech giant.
In last night’s episode, Hooli extravagantly announced its most innovative, groundbreaking “moonshot” new division, HooliXYZ. And what is HooliXYZ’s website? That’s right – hooli.xyz!
If you haven’t already, visit hooli.xyz to learn more about Hooli’s “experimental division” and its team of XYZeniuses. Their ultra innovative projects in the pipeline include self-driving cars, flying cars, self-flying cars, and even a cure for AIDs.
What do you think of HooliXYZ and their appointment of Nelson as the “Co-Head Dreamer”? Total marketing move, right?
