In June, we proudly celebrated the 10th anniversary of .xyz’s launch—a milestone that reflects a decade of empowering internet users with versatile domain options. Since its inception, .xyz has played a key role in shaping the digital landscape, offering a forward-thinking choice for innovators worldwide. Today, XYZ Registry manages over 5 million domains and .xyz represents approximately over 1% of all domains in existence, ranking among the top three new generic top-level domain (gTLD) registries and responsible for ~5-7% of all new domains created daily.
June was a standout month, with nearly half a million .xyz domains registered. Innovative individuals and organizations—ranging from tech startups and Fortune 500 companies to creatives, educators, small businesses, and community groups—continue to leverage .xyz domains as a platform for bringing their ideas to life and establishing a strong online presence.
This success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our valued registrar partners like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Porkbun, Name.com, Onamae, Dynadot, and more. During our anniversary month, our partner Porkbun reached an impressive milestone of managing over 2 million domains, with XYZ Registry domains accounting for 10% of that total.
